Uwe Boll Is So Upset That SEGA Is Making Another House Of The Dead Movie Without Him That He's Fundraising An "Inofficial Sequel" titled "23 Years Later: Return to Zombie Island"

Quote
"Sony is filming with Paul Anderson (yes... the very bad director... not the good one) a new House of the Dead and it creates thanks to the $60 million budget and $40 million p&a spend a new hype worldwide," Uwe Boll wrote on his new website.
"That will create the opportunity to re-license my original but also to make money with a new film from me named 23 Years Later - Return to Zombie Island.
"The idea is to bring the dead from my film back as zombies like Ona Grauer, Will Sanderson, Tyron Leitso, Clint Howard, Elisabeth Rosen and maybe even das boot captain Juergen Prochnov," he continued. "The only survivor of my original film Rudy (Jonathan Cherry) will be trying to rescue his daughter and her friends who went against his advise to the locked off island. This new film shows a group of sexy, silly, campy, horny, young adults to a sleepaway camp - but it's not ...

I knew he would go boo-hoo bullshit over it. he only makes bad adaption of movies to both piss off fans and German tax layoff or something.

Yeah, Nega Eggman is a better choice for me. Nega is a serious character, like? Unlike previous Eggman, Jim Carrey could explore playing as a serious mad scientist.
And maybe, once fans are used to him, Eggman Nega becomes the new Dr. Eggman. I prefer it that way than a straight-up parallel replacement.

Haha, I read that Uwe Boll had an unhinged Letterboxd account where he spent all his time shitting on movies.
No matter how great or awful a movie is, he's still gonna writing negative about it.
Not sure whether it's true or not.

Yep, me too. But still no news of Carrey's returning.
May be Carrey doesn't find the script's interesting like Sonic 3 where he could explore himself's playing as two persons.

From what I understand, and i think covered in another IHE video which you can find here, given Uwe Boll's nationality is German, his movies fall under German legal system. And that there is a law that if a movie ends up bad, it gets some sort of compensation for it. So if Uwe Boll makes bad movies, the German government pays him for them. Some sort of exploit he's notorious for.

I know he wants to, or has retired and that the Sonic films are an exception for him.
But I also recall a "promise" that Sega/Paramount won't recast Dr. Robotnik if he decides to retire from the films for good.

I don't want some brand-new face like Rava or The Buyer taking his place, but I would appreciate it if the promise is kept regardless.

Maybe Agent Stone as new villain for the film series. Technically a "new face" but I've grown to like him and has most backstory with Dr. Robotnik.

Wow, that's very strange loophole. Hopefully only Uwe Bowl do that, otherwise the fate of German future movies could be in a jeopardy.

Yeah, but if Amy and Metal Sonic are really from the future, Agent Stone would already have been old. Unless he turned into a cyborg or something.

Well apparently he does it often, and why he contributes to the "bad video game adaption" problem cinema has.

Cyborg, probably.

What I hope: The villain will be Neo Metal Sonic. Probably using his mimetic polyalloy ability to disguise himself as Dr. Robotnik, tricking Team Sonic into believing he is alive and all-powerful. The real Dr. Robotnik will probably show up mid-credits or post-credit scene.

What's likely to happen: Dr. Robotnik from a parallel universe to take the place of Dr. Robotnik, because the writers cornered themselves with it last movie.

But, I find every movie has at least one major inconsistancy, so excusing Dr. Robotnik's death is still possible.

Such inconsistencies as:
  • In the first film, the "Eggpod" was regarded as the prototype and Dr. Robotnik made no inconsistencies on losing to Sonic because Sonic was both someone brand-new to him and his ego believed he can defeat him. However, in Sonic 2, Dr. Robotnik had a satellite with the Egg Mobile, the supposed successor to the Eggpod. How was he able to make the finalized flying machine and preperations for his return if he was stranded on the Mushroom Planet all this time?
  • In the second film, after Super Sonic was done, he ejected the Chaos Emeralds directly upwards. yet in Sonic 3, the Chaos Emeralds are still within the Master Emerald.
  • In the second film, Commander Walter has established GUN as a recent organization to combat potential threat that is Sonic. In Sonic 3, it not only shows that GUN has been around fifty years prior to the second film, but that Dr. Robotnik was once a major operator, perhaps even "leader" of GUN at one point... So you're telling me they knew Dr. Robotnik was unstable, but let him be leader of a powerful organization? You're telling me Dr. Robotnik never knew the wearabouts of his Grandfather, but despite having clearance as a major person in GUN, never bothered to check the basement?

Famous ... for wrong reason. Well, if it worked, it worked.

Good eyes for noticing those inconsistencies, I never thought about them, lol.
Well, may be there's a gaiden story between 2 and 3 where Sonic and the gang collected the Chaos Emeralds using emeralds radar then put them back in Master Emerald.
Wait a minute ... that sounds more like a Dragon Ball story.

Kristen Bell announced as voice of Amy Rose in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’ movie

Quote
Via The Hollywood Reporter comes the news that Amy Rose in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 movie has a voice actress, and that is Kristen Bell! Long suffering parents like myself best know her as the voice of Anna in the Frozen films from Disney, and gamers may know her as the voice of Lucy Stillman in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. On TV she is best known for Veronica Mars, Heroes and The Good Place and has appeared in ...

Knuckles TV series took place between 2 and 3, yet never covered how the Chaos Emeralds returned.

If anything, it added to the inconsistency, with The Buyer stating Dr. Robotnik was a former GUN agent himself. Either that was a very minute Sonic 3 spoiler indicating the writers have established GUNs prior history that wasn't brought up in the second film, or they completely forgot Commander Walter founded GUN after Dr. Robotnik's exile to the Mushroom Planet.

The "retcon" apparently is that GUN was originally a secret government black ops organization that was disbanded after Project Shadow, but Commander Walter brought it back and rebranded it publicly after the events of the first film.

But, it still doesn't explain why Dr. Robotnik and Agent Stone were involved with GUN between Project Shadow and the second film.

Would've been better off if Project Shadow and Dr. Robotnik's organization were to remain nameless.

The project and organization could be nameless, but I think they want to use GUN so it's at least carrying things from the game's version.

yeah. But if they were going to do that, why establish GUN like they did in the second film as recent?

Any other alternative organization that's carried from the game besides GUN?

No, but they could've just made it some unknown nameless black ops group.
