SEGASAMMY Q2 results - $302 million profit

whoa! SEGASAMMY just posted their financial report for the first half of the year (April-September)

the whole group managed to achieve a net income of $302 million

(compared with a net loss of $78 million for the same period in the previous fiscal year)

results by segments (Operating income)

Pachinco/Pachislots
$590 million profit (an increase of 337.7% for the same period in the previous fiscal year)

Arcade Machine Sales
$23.7 million profit (compared with an operating loss of $9.1 million for the same period in the previous fiscal year)

Amusement Centers Operations
$13.7 million profit (an increase of 395.5% for the same period in the previous fiscal year)

Consumer Business
$16.1 million loss (compared with an operating loss of $101 million for the same period in the previous fiscal year)

Digital revenues will be turning around the consumer division to profitability very shortly.

Sega management knows that revenues from mobile alone will eventually exceed the arcade and amusement side.
