My apologizes! I didn't even notice this til just now ahaha!
The games alright, first impression it gave me was a crappy low-budget game, but after about an 20 minutes in I found myself enjoying it. The music's a little annoying tho, and the US version has this really crappy camera system going on that keeps the camera behind you like a platformer, ruins the survival horror experience.
The PAL and JP version apparently has a system similar to Dino Crisis and Resident Evil series... which may be able to give you a nice scare. Had the graphics not been so cartoonish like I see it...
Enemies when you kill them shot out coins everywhere which you use to buy food, ammo and guns...
So you never really have to worry about health or ammo... Which really kills the survival part of the game.
The game doesn't really give details on what to do. If you find yourself doing a side mission you usually only have 20 minutes to finish it, and you haven't the slighest clue what to do. It's mostly trial and error with that.
The cut scenes are cheesy, which I personally enjoy. But you can't skip them so if you die (assuming you can die, I've never came close) you'd be stuck listening to them again and they do take awhile...
Combat is fairly simple, you face the direction of the enemy and you push the r trigger to shoot, it auto fires at the bad guy, and if your out of ammo (near the beginning you will be) you use Close Range attack using the X button, further on the game you get neat little weapons to substitute your hands. Like a Ray Sword which reminds me of Mega Man in a way..
You can play as two guys, and switch whenever you feel it's nessessary
One guy can do close range, and use some guns.
While the other guy can use heavy guns like Missle Launchers and stuff but can't use closerange weapons but can defend against attacks using X.
Tho I've yet to use the other guy cause theres no need for it..
The only challenge I've had so far is finding what to do in a side mission
And the whole point of a side mission is to get special guns, which you later on can buy anyways.
And considering monsters respawn once you leave the room, you can grind for money so all side-missions do is give you the gun a lil early...
All in all, I give it 7/10 and I'm being very relaxed on the rating..
I've been having fun, I find it more an Action/Adventure than Survival Horror tho.
If your looking for a scare, I'd recommend Dino Crisis.
