I wouldn't say 250 dollars is a lot for a device that can
Play High Quality games
Play 3D Movies
Browse the Web
more

And I doubt the PSP2 will be lower then the 3DS. The PSP2 apparently is going to blow our minds away with a 599 US dollars price tag.

1. Web browser sucks dicks and balls.
2. on a cellphone like screen? HA no ..
3. High quality games? 90% of them suck and 5% are ports.

Thanks for pricing something that hasn't even been announced.

3DS is a piece of fucking shit, kiddy, gimmick system on ancient hardware with a launch line up of recycled rehashed shit. Have some self-respect people and don't fall for Nintendo's bullshit.

The whole nerdy, antiquated, dedicated gaming portable (making a distinction from smart phones) segment needs to fuck off and die, which it is anyway.

Giant corporations. . . The assassin\'s underworld has become a commodity. A chance for profit AND entertainment for the masses. But shadows from the wilder days still linger. . .

Not saying I agree. But there seems to be a cycle to Nintendo. As for 'piece of shit', when did the power under the hood mean it was better? By your logic, the SEGA Mega Drive was a piece of shit compared to the SNES because the SNES was more powerful.

The problem is that the online, system software sucks. That is important to me, more so than 3D.

People love 3D. That is it's main draw, they are charging you 250$ for the "3D-S".

The features that you think, suck are not associated with the price tag. The high price tag if for the 3D, and if you don't want the 3D, then yes you really shouldn't buy it.

I personally won't be buying it at all (atleast not for another 730 days)

This is the highest price point Nintendo has set for a handheld ever, I am sure they've thought about it and decided they did not want to make a loss selling it for 200$ or 170$. Before criticizing the price point I suggest googling prices for the Sharp (or is it Toshiba) 3D screen, and then guage how much profit they could possibly be making.

Glasses free 3D obviously wouldn't be cheap, right?

Says the poster who always complains about games becoming too mainstream, now you want dedicated gaming machines to die off so we can only play games on iPhones?

Did I just stumble into the Gamespot forums circa 2004? This is exactly what people said about the original DS, and we all know what a dismal failure that was.

Seems like the usual price for PSP games at launch.
Third party titles will probably drop to $20 after a few months like the current DS and PSP games.

I'm still not sold on the "3D" aspect of Nintendo's new handheld. I can't stand watching movies in 3D, so I'm not sure how much I would like that visual aspect of the hardware. The game lineup however, looks really interesting.

So basically they've increased the price 5 - 15$.

This looks like a job for a psychologist.
www.psychologyofgames.com

Why do companies lose their fucking mind when they start making profits?

Since you have extra cash flow, shouldn't you give more to the fans that way you would get even more fans.

Why is it that SEGA would sell Dreamcast at a loss (when the company was broke)? But sell the Saturn at a profit (when they were king of the hill)?

Why is it that only the under dog does fan service and then turns around and turns into an asshole?

I was burned pretty badly by the Wii, I could tell you why instead i'll tell you a story by Senile Team. Nintendo was actually preventing them to have Classical Controller support, they encourage developers to not give all peripheral support so that people are forced to play motion sensing crap.

Senile Team describes working with Nintendo's quality control as Anti-Quality Control.

Cube might be a super hero. He will use the power of Psychology to improve his math skills and hate Bayonetta at the same time!

I usually do not mind prices of games because I can usually find ways to agree with prices on games I will enjoy. Handheld games especially are very hard for me to agree on, usually because their content is pathetic in comparison to console games, even console games ten years ago sometimes had more to them.

But Nintendo is the absolute worst with this stuff. The best example is how Mario Kart DS launched at 30 USD in like 2004 and is now 45 USD in 2011. Come on, that is sick!

Even worse, when their games do not sell they cancel production of them fast even if everyone loves them, like ExciteBots Trick Racing.
