I'm expecting a smooth removal of shrink wrap, some minor difficulty getting my thumbnail under the security strip but a satisfying residue-free peeling sensation.  A nice solid snapping open of the case.  Then, unfortunately, some difficulty in getting the disc to pop off the spindle -- accompanied by some cursing.  And finally, an effortless landing in the disc tray and away we go.

Anybody got any thoughts on how the cars will handle?  ;D

lol My bad English writing skills strikes again! I meant your last sentence, but that's a nice story too.

I'll probably be like Taz from Taz Mania and rip it to shreds, mumbling like Taz whilst doing so.

Otherwise, I felt like Knuckles handled well.

I would think that, being a ninja, Joe Musashi's handling would be really precise and nimble.

True, I'll have to keep practicing with him. He kinda plays like Zobio & Zobiko, so I should at least get the upper hand in a few online races.

He probably never handled a car before since he's used to sneaking and walking, lol.

I wonder if Vyse has great handling since he pretty much needed it for his Ship battles.

Commercial showing and only a few weeks of this game coming. Can't wait to buy it, but when a new All-Stars is in development, I don't want SOE to make character decisions anymore.

That would mean that Sumo wouldn't be able to make another ASR game though, and you do know that SoA also makes decisions on the roster?

I've made a photo album of renders for the racers, some new, some reused. The most exciting ones are Joe and Gilius. Beat is also new. No appearance of Metal Sonic, Gum or Vyse yet.

Excuse me while I catch a bit of the holy spirit of the awesomeness of  Joe & Vyse's render and cry about why Sakura, Vectorman, Segata isn't in this masterpiece. Only a few more weeks. I'm going to pre order the 360 version next.

Looks like Curien's Mansion has a new make over. Once again it's going to be one of my favorite tracks.

And as for the next game, it'll be cool to have these kinda of cast with "Megamix" as a title. Just hope that SOE doesn't butcher it.

Not gonna lie, NiGHTS looks creepy as a vehicle. I know he/she did that in Journey of Dreams but my goodness. ^^; Anyone know if NiGHTS and Reala are two separate chars or re-swaps?

Are separate characters, but the vehicles are very similar. So similar shape, but different colors and decorations. This is because Reala, Gum and MeeMee were developed after the original roster was decided. Sumo made it sound like they put extra time into the extra racers in order to beef up the roster and give fans more racers to choose from. Of course, to save money and time they based the secondary character vehicles on their counterpart's vehicles.

Although I don't mind the extra racers in the game, I don't 100% agree that Sumo went out of their way to do this for free, per se.

I do reckon that they had enough time to add them and asked SEGA if they can reuse the characters because they were well within the time frame to release the game.

I mean, it's still great that they did that but yeah...I don't believe they did it for free.

Anyway, the new Wii U trailer shows off the Billy Hatcher track.

It reminds me of Christmas Town and I really did go "WHAT'S THIS!?! WHAT'S THIS!?! It looks like Christmas Town. What's this? Billy Hatcher still not found?" XD

Once the game is released I was considering a goofy article that gives custom soundtrack recommendations for the tracks. That one would be "PERFECT! Faaaaan-tastic! Eureka! Ha ha ha HA HA HA!"*

*these were the four phrases my talking Jack Skellington doll said
