Ah! American Graffiti is a classic! I love that film! Kicked off a ton of actor's careers and was the first of many things. Such as the first film to have an entirely borrowed soundtrack of hit songs and helped give birth to the summer blockbuster. Fun fact: if it sounds like the music in the soundtrack is being played on a car radio in an alleyway, that's because the music was recorded from an alleyway. THX-1138 and Star Wars A New Hope are great companion films, as all three follow the same themes. Sad to see it was grouped with a Ben Stiller kids film but whatcha gonna do? :)

I'm thinking of seeing the Prince of Persia movie on Friday. Anyone else think they'll be heading out to watch it?

The movie about Joy Division front man Ian Curtis and him committing suicide at the age of 23. The movie was called 'Control'.

Then I saw the movie Boondock Saints 2 All Saints Day. I liked it better than the first movie. Still some shobby actors in it.

I plan on it, but probably not until next weekend. Got graduation this weekend, plus MacGruber.

I'm, well... midly optimistic about it.

It does seem to look a lot better than most video game movies.

(Not-so-)Fun fact: Ben Kingsley was also in Bloodrayne as the main antagonist.

Just came back from a Prince of Persia screening.

I can't believe it... A good movie based off a video game.

An OK story(though too much exposition i.e. characters constantly having to remind viewers of the situation or what's the task at hand) with some nice twists, a good cast, likeable characters(kudos to Jake Gyllenhall, Genma Atterson and Alfred Molina), good production values and overall fun to watch.

Take note Hollywood, stop hiring second-rate directors and third-rate writers to do video game movies. And get a good studio, at least in Disney we can trust.

It's a shame that will not make Pirates numbers, but that's in part due to the film somewhat poor marketing.

Just watched MacGruber tonight.

I don't think it'll be everybody's cup of tea, but I thought it was pretty hilarious.  There was a decent amount of riffing on all the action movie stereotypes, plus a decent amount of it's own gags.  It reminded me a bit of Hot Rod, but with more action and explosions.  Some pretty fantastic sex scenes (in a humorous way). Kristin Wiig was pretty great in this one.

Ageed on all counts.

Just saw it, and agreed aswell.
I did like all the little nods to the games they fit in (the view of the obstacles that needed to be jumped over in the beginning, the whip from Two Thrones, etc...)
Way better than I expected it to be.

Saw Twilight with a friend, yes the first one. OK. I have never seen it before but she is a fan (like most girls) so I saw it. I could not stop laughing.

First of all. WTF. I know they got the 'teen girl' down with a T. But Edward is a fucking retard. He does not sleep at night, awesome, but he spends watching a girl sleep. Creep. Not only that, the plot has holes. First of all, what happen to the girl hunter vampire? They all forgot about her?

Also glitter in the sunlight. So fucking gay.

Taken as B movies, they're pretty fantastic.  I laughed more in those movies than a lot of comedies I've seen recently

Twilight the movie has a scene that is not in Twilight the book. What did your friend think about that, George?
