All things said, TW:Warhammer will get a closed to public presentation by Koch Media (Europe distributor of Sega packaged games), so in the end, Sega externally is already confirmed for E3.

Don't worry , Trippled about the no connection between Atlus USA/ex-Index Ltd. And SOA after adquisition.
There is a reason behind that...

I love Nimurgen's cryptic posts about the future of Sega.

Who are you 'Gen? Who are you really!? I bet he's actually Tom Kalinske in disguise. You're a cool guy.

I wonder sometimes if I'm too negative around here. I do like Yakoozer gamers still, even if Sega doesn't want to give them to me as much as they used to. Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I didn't love them as much as I should have. Maybe I didn't buy them, as often as I could have. But they were sometimes on my mind. I never had a Ps2, what was I to do? I did however buy Yak Uzer 4 on release and even Dead Souls. Oh Dead Souls. I'm not sure if they tried to imply Majima was homosexual in that game or not, he kept trying to make out with Daigo. I mean, he does say in another scene he'd like to have a woman under each arm, but maybe he swings both ways, you know? if fluffy was here no doubt he would have something to say on the matter.
I wonder what the key diference was in Yakuzer not becoming really popular, like Yakuza + x = Success, but waht is 'x'? We might not know. I do know that i didn't enjoy dengeki bukkake fighting climxa, was the guy who called me out actually Berto? The dragon guy from Indonesia who posts a lot of content on the forums here?

Stephen Frost said that the merging of Atlus USA and Sega America would not mesh well, because he implies how Sega of America has this "AAA" set up, which I see as bullshit really.

I think for Sonic Team games there is already a domestic localizer in Japan anyways...most of Sega America is PR or similar positions.

Yeah SEGA of America never made smart purchases like SEGA Europe did, the only studio that they hit it out of the park with was Relic buyout. Three Rings buyout was strange since they haven't really done much after the buyout. Are they still around?

This is their San Francisco offices tho, so nice:

Its a shame that SEGA Racing Studio from SEGA Europe had to close its doors so soon :( , though I don't think its good for a big studio to chicken coup themselves into a single genre.

The problem with people like Radrappy is that they think 'Total War's success = we hate SEGA Japan games', which is just putting words in our mouths.

Aw gee thanks.  I don't need to put words into your mouth, you've made your position more than clear over the years.  Let's try to stay civil here and not resort to singling people out huh?  I'm responding to your article in a respectful and constructive way, not making broad offensive statements about your character.  I disagree with your point of view that Sega not being at e3 doesn't have grave implications for the creative output of the company, what's so crazy about that?

That you're satisfied as long as Sega is financially secure, even if the games are nothing like the reasons anyone became a fan of theirs in the first place.  And as for bringing back dormant IPs:

So Football Manager would outsell a new Jet Grind Radio by the millions; so what?  If this were just about being profitable, Sega should ditch consoles/pc altogether and just make candy crush clones to the end of their days.  I was never a fan of Sega for their successful business model.  I was a fan of theirs when they were paving the way with iconic and daring gameplay experiences with memorable characters and properties.

You guys go on and on about how the media is misrepresenting the company; that there's some kind of smear campaign at work.  The sad truth is just simply that no one gives a damn anymore about Sega because they don't make anything worth caring about.

If you were offended by my remarks, I'll happily apologize.  I know we're all just fans here and we want what's best for the company.  You definitely hit a nerve though with the comments about how bringing back IPs is a bad idea.  Just look at people's avatars in this forum.  These characters and properties are important to us.  There would be room in my heart for TWAMtumbo if they would just develop some of their heritage properties once in a while as well.  With the state of the industry though, that's becoming less and less likely.

First of all the article in question isn't about my taste in games, its about facts which seem to hurt your feelings. I never stated in the article if I liked or disliked any of the games I mentioned.

Again, you just don't understand you keep on talking about what made you a fan of SEGA and that has NOTHING to do with the article and about why they are skipping E3. If no one cares about SEGA, fine, its my blog and I can write whatever I want. What does it matter, no one cares or reads it, right?

To me it sounds like you think this whole thing revolves around 'opinions' when I purposely posted NO OPINIONS in the article. The only person spewing opinions here is you, most of your reply is about you and what SEGA games you like.

The article about the E3 booth isn't about what SEGA games I like or what games SEGA should make or not make, its about facts on why they didn't have a booth there; not about speculation. Facts are they are moving from San Francisco to LA in June. They will have a presence at E3, so they aren't not going to be there.

"Personally I’m a bit dumbfounded that fans really think that games they ‘liked’ will turn a company around, especially when some of those talked about IPs stopped being supported forever ago. Oh, because you liked the franchise? That makes sense. Great business move."

George, please reread your own article.

It's already been sorta said, but us thinking that SEGA is doing fine doesn't mean that SEGA is putting out the games we'd want them to put out. I'd sure love SEGA now a hell of a lot more if they were putting out more racing games or were making a new Jet Set Radio, but that's besides the point. The point is that there are misconceptions going around about SEGA that are simply not true, which is what the article that George made is about.
