That's fine, but you said 'Can't go wrong with 2D Sonic', when most people thought Sonic 4 was rubbish.

Sonic Unleashed I also thought was quite bad, but it had potential. I can see why you would enjoy it.

Don't worry, I'm familiar with having an unpopular opinion around here (see: any of my posts about Binary Domain).

Yes, it's my own opinion that you can't go wrong with a 2D Sonic game. It's fine that you think otherwise.

I'd like to think that since next year is the 25th anniversary of the franchise, they're actually giving this a bit more thought or even development.  Might be that odds are against that, but even SEGA/Sonic Team has to realize they need to make a hit.

Yeah, I hope for a 25th anniversary Sonic game too. Or a 10th anniversary NiGHTS game.

I never finished JoD, perhaps I should at some point...best highlight though? I met the voice actress for NiGHTS at a convention last year, she was nice.

JoD is passable.

It's not entirely awful, but for what it was trying to live up to it came pretty short. I still have a few likes for it, especially the wonderful soundtrack.

Fairly intrigued Sonic Team are taking so long to announce their new game, either they're taking they're time or they're having real problems with current gen development.

I doubt they would have trouble, all development framework is PC basicilly.

Also Sega of America is having their usual babble "durr it's for kids, Sonic Team make the games that grew up on MD and DC/GC, we focus on the toddlers". Yeah what about just having a unified vision instead?
