Yeah, like uh... an app that is like a sub-service. But then again, so was the Sega MD&G Classics which they didn't do much with.

SatAM got cancelled because DiC was selling animation cells from the show without telling SEGA, and SEGA retaliated by forbidding future episodes.

With the way the games displayed, Sega MD&G Classics couldn't get any games to be added/removed afterall (unless in classic mode for PC which console version didn't have it).

Wasn't Penders only working on comic series? Not on the original animated series?

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Director Talks About the Importance of Sega Dreamcast Music in the Movie

In an interview with ComicBook, director Jeff Fowler talked about the importance of bringing that track over from the games, and the effort that was put into weaving it throughout the film.
“Honestly everything that’s in this third movie was very purposely there. I think ‘Live and Learn’ and Crush 40 are such inseparable elements from Sonic Adventure 2. We just knew that was essential to this film. Mufasa: The Lion King is a 2024 American musical drama film directed by Barry Jenkins from a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film is photorealistically animated and serves as both a prequel and sequel to The Lion King (2019), the remake of the 1994 animated film of the same name.

Sonic Rumble Is Giving Out a Sonic Movie Freebie, But There’s a Catch

While the Movie Sonic skin is somewhat similar to the traditional Sonic skin, the big difference is that it has a lot more detail, most notably in its fur.
The regular Sonic video game design looks a lot smoother, so it’s easy to tell the difference between them.
For fans of the Paramount movies, this should be a pretty neat extra.

He then proceeded to pitch his idea for a Sonic film, called "Sonic Armageddon".

Yeah, it could be. It could be nothing too though. All of this is still just a speculation.

Silly Penders.
Without him involved, even if Ben Hurst pitched his plan probably SEGA would still reject it.
And if Ben made the film alone without their consent, as long as no money involved, they would just treat it as a fan film.
Of course if money was involved SEGA could always send their lawyers, but it's not because of Penders telling them to.
