It's technically impossible to fire someone working in Portugal, public-sector or otherwise.
They are having strikes because they don't want a 3% pay cut, the thing is, is that what they are doing a little pointless.
The suits at CP are the ones who call the shots, but it's the goverment that has the last word on the matter. The election is tomorrow and until the end of the month, they won't be able to get anything out of the strike anyway, except anger people.
