Could Bolivar Trask and the Sentinels really work in a sequel to X-Men: First Class?

It's been a funny week at the office, we are selling out a couple of wines and cleaning up the place. Good lord, so much dust...

After 6 years of operating, and 3 years in my possession, my 360 has RROD'd.
R.I.P. little one. I'm actually very surprised that a late '05/early '06 model has lasted this long. Sent it in for repairs, so hopefully I'll have it back before July. Or even better, they'll send me an S model (doubtful).

In the meantime, I have a buttload of Wii SEGA lightgun games to complete as well as a few PS2 titles to occupy my time. It's all good.  8-)

Yeah, had to cancel my Child of Eden pre-order, because why buy a game when you don't have the console? Guess I'll just use Amazon to "free 2 day ship" the game when the sexbox returns.

I've had a PS2 since Christmas 2003, and it still works pretty well.

Out of game consoles, I have had the worst luck with PlayStation 2. Seven have died on me, and just from basic use.

I am fully aware of the problems with the Xbox 360 as my original 2006 model died on me after a year of use, but the one I have had ever since has rarely had problems, the most notable one was when I put in SEGA Superstars Tennis, the first game I had for it and it almost instantly crashed. For like three years after I was super worried that with every new game I got the console would die, but if anything it works better now than ever and people like Shadi were just trying to scare me. It worked, you bastard!

Regardless, I am still looking at getting a new Xbox 360 next year. The only reason I bring this up is that I am honestly thinking of getting a Kinect bundle with it. If you look at the prices, adding Kinect to it is fairly cheap considering the core price, and price drops are very likely by next year too. Nothing really excites me honestly, just I think it would be 'Neat' to play Binary Domain and Mass Effect 3 with it, and some games I will want like Halo 4 will obviously have it. I would buy Sonic Free Riders, even if it is not that good, but otherwise I am having a rough time figuring out if I should do this. Everyone's opinions except George and Shadi are welcome!

My console death list:

Aside from the 360 just RRODing on me, I've had my older model PS2 die thanks to a f'd up video out. Basically the system boots up normally half the time, the other half the video and audio is all distorted and broken.

My old XBOX still works, however the disc tray sticks. I have to hold the open button when powering up, otherwise the thing won't open up when the system is on.

My SEGA CD is functional, but isn't great. Half the time I boot up the Genesis, the SEGA CD isn't detected. When the SEGA CD does work, the game will sometimes crash, though I've only had this happen very occasionally with Sonic CD and Silpheed.

The Dreamcast and Saturn have been my most resilient consoles. My first Dreamcast died, but it was in a power surge, so it is hardly a system fault. Just my own for playing PSO during a storm without a surge protector. Since then, I've had two perfectly working Dreamcasts and two perfectly working Saturns. All hail SEGA!

@Sanus: I say go for it. Kinect titles don't take up a lot of my time right now, but once Gunstringer, Child of Eden and Rise of Nightmares hit, I'll be using it much more. Dance Central and Your Shape are probably the most solid titles out right now, both control near perfectly and their use of the Kinect is really slick. Kinect Sports is also solid, but if you've had your fill of Wii sports titles, I'd say pass.

I noticed that I actually use the voice control a lot. Since we don't have cable, we use Netflix and Hulu most of the time. "kinect, play" and "kinect, pause" are great for when I'm running for the bathroom or am heading to the kitchen. I've found that I can even control the thing from other rooms with my voice. Fun stuff. At first it was a novelty, but now it's second nature to use the voice controls. The Mass Effect 3 stuff looked very cool, I'd prefer that to button pressing. If you go for it, might as well get Sonic Free Riders for a good price. It's not perfect, it's not amazing, but it is fun. Reminds me of a game you'd find in an arcade that is so crazy looking, you can't help but play it. It also beats the other titles in the series, in my oh-pin-yun.

Yep, my console death list is as followed:
-Game Boy: broken at school all the way back in 1993;
-Dreamcast: First one died out on me while playing Virtua Striker 2;
-Xbox 360:

-First RROD(2006-2008): I was playing the Eragon game and then bam, pop goes the console;
-Second RROD(2008-2009): I was going to show RE 5 to a couple of my friends at my birthday party and the console crashed mid-play. I was so pissed.

My advice: Switch to the Slim model as fast as possible.

On top of the RROD, I received a $15 fee from my gym for missing a payment (my credit card info wasn't updated). I told the manager I've been a paying member for 2 years and that I had only missed updating the card info by 2 days, but they wouldn't budge. So pissed at them. I think I'm going to start throwing towels in trash cans, instead of the dirty towel bins, until I feel satisfied. That's my method of revenge, petty vandalism.
