Segata Sanshiro Shinken Yuugi

Quote
As a marketing vehicle, Shinken Yūgi faithfully captures the Segata Sanshiro spirit.
But as a game, its uninspired ideas of what constitutes amusement leave a lot to be desired.
Still, let it be said that after playing through the game, it’s easy to understand what makes Sanshiro such an appealing character.

Ecco the Dolphin creator wants to port
Mr. Bones and Three Dirty Dwarves Nintendo Switch

Quote
“One of the OCD characteristics of my personality is I never give up!
When I was trying to convince Sega about Ecco the Dolphin it took me years to get them to bite.
There are some challenges I need to overcome but eventually, there will be a new Ecco!
Also, I am trying to find a way to port our Saturn game, Three Dirty Dwarves, to the Switch.
I think that’s an excellent game for the platform."

Vandal Hearts - 100% Complete English Translation

Quote
New translation project Vandal Hearts is a turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo ported to the Sega Saturn by Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya. Its great news that today we can share this translation for the Saturn version, as it is considered the best port, due to the extra content, which include additional maps, items and spells, improved graphics and different back ground music.

How was this post possible:
A group tweeted that they had used the ps1 version of the translation and modified it for the extra content that the Saturn version has, to complete the translation. Great work by the team, many thanks for sharing and hope you do some more in the future.

Interview: Jacob Andersen (Designer: Amok & Scorcher)

Quote
Sega-16: Amok was Lemon’s first game for the Saturn. Reportedly, it started out as a 32X game and was shifted to Saturn when Sega discontinued the add-on. Is this true? If so, how far along was the game on the 32X?
Jacob Andersen: As I remember, it was more a question of the Saturn becoming a valid option, so we decided to switch. I don’t remember it being very far, so it wasn’t a big deal.
At the time, there was no PlayStation in sight so I guess everybody thought that this was the future platform.
We did eventually start converting the game to the PlayStation along with the PC, but the project fell apart at Scavenger’s ultimate demise.
