Pretty much Amazon gives us a reference link to anything in the store. If the user clicks the link, buys item on Amazon, we get a % of the money. I forgot how much it is, I want to say 5%.

Example:
STAR WARS BLURAY: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Complet ... 430&sr=8-1

See the 'Ref=sr', that is showing that its reference link.

Edit: easier. Got a ad thing, basically sends you to amazon.com, whatever purchase is already under ref.

You'd use these links under the releases on the main page, right? Cuz I'd totally buy things via that if % of the money goes to SEGAbits. Unless a place like Gamestop offers a pre-order bonus, but I tend to buy from amazon over GameStop (no taxes, fast shipping, not having to hear their whole member card nonsense).

It sounds like a pretty good way to get some revenue for the site.

YEah, the buy it now links gives us a %. The only issue I have is the '360, PS3' versions. But I will find a way to format it better.

Yes... Yes... YEEEEES!

I can't beleive it.

I was trying to get an Xbox 360 S for a reasonable price on the Internet and I decided to pay a visit my local GAME store(about 15 minutes by foot from my house) and I asked the clerk if he had any bundles with just the console and the 250 Gigas hard drive. He had one in the back of the store in used condition(barely a month old).

The clerk was saving it for a friend, but the deal sorta went sour, so it was just lying there in the back.

I got it for 170€/220USD/£140.

Not only was Alan Wake installed there, the previous owner had Super Meat Boy, Rez HD, Braid and Limbo installed. Pretty sweet!

Trying to be as manly as I can while typing this, but: omg, I had the best trip to the mall today!

Stopped in to hit GameStop. On the way to GS, I noticed that the empty space once occupied by the used game store Play N Trade (closed 3 months back) was now occupied by a place called Game Trader. Stopped in, great prices and selection! I found SEGA Superstars (PS2, didn't have an Eye Toy but I figured I'd hit ebay when I got home) and shuffled through a stack of Dreamcast games. Every game was $8 each, so I got Qbert and Disney's Magical Racing Tour in a buy one get one free sale. $4 each, nice.

Then I finally got to GameStop and snagged their last copy of You Don't Know Jack on the 360. In the back I found a PS2 Eye Toy for the low price of $3. Nice.

Overall, I spent less than $45, got four games, a (lame) accessory and discovered a new store that carries old SEGA games and systems.

I rarely buy stuff off Rakuten.com's auction section but I couldn't resist last night. I ended up buying a sealed copy of Samba De Amigo ver.2000 . I've been wanting my own copy ever since it was released back in 2000.

Anyhow, the plastic wrapper had SAMPLE stuck onto it but after unwrapping it, it seems to be just a regular pressed copy.

The only difference I can notice is its missing a spine card and it has Not for sale Sample printed on the inner ring of the disc. I am fairly sure not many of these "copies" are floating around in the wild and I probably made a Dreamcast collector cry by cracking her out of her factory wrapping. But hey, what's the fun of owning games if you don't play them?

I am so glad I picked up a second spare set of maracas a few months ago. Now if I can play with my wife in the love-love mode/mini games.

It was a pretty cheap pickup too. I paid 500yen after shipping. With this purchase, my Dreamcast collection is nearly complete!

edit: I've been informed this sample copy may not be as special as I once thought. Its most likely a review, store demo, or developer handout. Either way I think I did well considering the price. :)

Nice find! Yeah, don't worry about opening it. Games are made to be played! An action figure with limited poseability in a fancy box, I can understand staying in the box. You can see it clearly, and probably won't get much out of it opened. But a sealed game? Whats the point? You can't see or play the game while it's wrapped up!

I imported ver. 2000 back in 2002, it's awesome! Makes the first game obsolete. I love the new songs and modes, especially the maraca swinging motions (woo! woo! woo! woo!). I got my lady to play love love mode, she quite enjoyed it!

We should have a SEGAbits video feature called "It's a game, dummy! Open it and play it!" where we film ourselves opening rare sealed games.

I'd be happy to contribute to that :D.

Here's a website that has all the Samba De Amigo ver. 2000 DLC songs:
http://dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com/php ... ontent.php

They've got other DLC too. Just go to the website with the DC browser, and download away :D. You can play songs from Daytona and NiGHTS.

I spend a lot of money on PC hardware. What comes with it is making a lot of mistakes. I bought a motherboard a year ago and decided to build a top performance computer. Sadly the motherboard wasn't that great(I hate wasting money on wrong things). Computers all have theor own sockets and that kinda stuff, so I had to get rid of the whole thing and didn't make any profit doing so. Now I bought a new motherboard, new ram and a new processor (kept videocards). I recently tried out assassins creed 2 and it works flawlesly. It looks even greater than on the console. Mind was blown :3

I regret selling my broadband adapter. I don't have dialup to get the dlc tracks. :(

It was the main reason that I got the Broadband adapter.
There must be some free way to connect to dial up somehow....
