This was released last year. Any additional content for this year?

Not that I aware of.
This year there's a Shenmue Fan Game (titled: "Shenmue: Back in Yokosuka") but it's not for PC.
It's for SEGA Saturn and it didn't have Christmas theme.

Before that there's also Shenmue Quiz Challenge Fan Game too for SEGA Saturn.

Plus "Saturn vs Playstation" Fan Game. Also for SEGA Saturn.

Still ... No news about Dream of Saturn 3.0.

I might give Shenmue: Dreams of Saturn a go.

No One Seems to Know if This Shenmue 4 Trailer Is Real or AI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heI9T5Vby5I

Quote
The video teases a variety of minigames, from mundane activities like dishwashing, through to a Street Fighter-style arcade cabinet named Shenmue Fighters. It also looks like you’ll be able to buy and wear different outfits. Surely this isn’t AI?
There is a flashback scene towards the end of the trailer which looks suspicious, but other than that this all looks consistent with the tech Ys Net built for Shenmue 3.
The copyright information at the bottom notes that this is a work in progress and, if real, that creator Yu Suzuki’s company is once again licensing the franchise from SEGA.
The trailer first appeared on ...

I want to say "real" given Ryu's plaster is still on the left side of his face and correct number of fingers etc, but given it's a "leak", I can understand the doubts of it. Especially if Sega is producing it after Shenmue III was an independent sequel.

If the Shenmue franchise is back with Sega, maybe Sega will release a DLC for Shenmue III, collectibles other than sports equipment, household items or clothes.

In Shenmue I-II, collectibles based on Sonic and iconic Sega memorabilia.
In Shenmue III, colelctibles based on various balls, rackets, shoes, hats, chairs... ¬_¬

I see but given there's YS Net watermark in the trailer it's still developed and published by third parties (most likely by YS Net and ININ Games).
The franchise is still belongs to SEGA though given to the second watermark.
So no different than Shenmue III (or Streets of Rage IV and Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap).
Here comes more various balls, rackets, shoes, hats, chairs collectibles ...

YsNet responded to the viral Shenmue IV video by saying that video has absolutely no connection to them.

It's like they had various model resources they didn't know what to do with, but couldn't get sponsored or promotions from other video game franchises to make collectible figurines from.

So just... random junk for collectibles.

I mean, Shenue I-II had Sega characters for collectibles and they were iconic and made me want to spend ¥100 for them. But Shenmue III just had random junk. I guess they made an Achievement as means to encourage collecting them.

I know Yu Suzuki wanted his Shenmue series to himself, but it's just not the same without Sega.

May be it's better if they find another mini game compared to repeat something but worse than before.

If it's fake then why they're considering to go into legal battle for this.
Usually legal battle is for leaks, not fan trailers.

True. The figurines were a bit of an in-game gambling gimmick. As in, try to get a complete collection, but end up getting sames. They could've changed it up for Shenmue III with... i dunno, an in-game trading card game, with ¥100 per booster-pack. Ys could either make up their own brand of collectible monsters or warriors for these cards, or, if they had Sega rights, the cards can have Sega All-Star characters.

I think it's because it was made out of fraudulence. Though the fact Ys is putting effort into a lawsuit could mean they're not leaving Shenmue dry like they did with II.

They recreated the advert! The absolute legend!
I should get round to playing this game. it's a direct download, right? No need for emulators etc?

Acquiring Sega rights would be costly so most likely YS net won't do it to minimize the budget.

They did not deny that Shenmue IV was in the work though, they only said the trailer wasn't from them.

It still weird not seeing Sega-representation in a Shenmue game.

True, but how long to wait? Shenmue III didn't come out until 18 years after Shenmue II.
Yep. Direct download.
That's cool. And is Dreams of Saturn 3.0 a sequel to past DoS games, or is it the development number of it? As in it's the one whole game.
