Magical Sound Shower WAS in the game! At least, in the Dreamcast versions it was.

Check out the track list for the Dreamcast DLC songs, some really great SEGA tunes were in there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samba_de_Amigo

Maracas? Just use your hands. That would cheapen the game by a lot and could bring even MORE casuals in. (Maracas sold separately maybe?)

Wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

I could see the game being hands only for Kinect (or two Move controllers on the Move), though third party companies would totally hop on the accessory bandwagon and make maracas. Or one could get real maracas.

You can actually use the normal DualShock 3 or SIXAXIS as a secondary Move controller in most cases, it would just look stupid. There is also the Navigation controller, which is as nerdy as it sounds.

GearBox supposedly has had a rough time with SEGA, so I do not know why they would come back for another release in the series, but Dr SEGA Monkey is right with SUMO! They actually made tons of new art for Samba de Amigo in SARS, so they would be most likely the best candidate!

Samba would be perfect for Kinect, but after all of the dozens of hours I spent with the Dreamcast games and Wii release I am entirely done with the game and never need to play it again in my life.

Sure, we all love Sumo.

However, they haven't done anything outside Tennis and Racers. That can be attributed to their training (via supervision) under AM2/AM3. Samba De Amigo would require a lot of original coding for PS3/Kinect, and they simply can't reproduce it by analyzing the original as the technology it used was made by the Grand Master Coder Yuju Naka (rumor has it, Naka salvaged the motion tech off the abandoned NiGHTS 2).

Since Sonic Team is probably busy with Sonic Anniversary/Phantasy Star/Sonic 4, they could give it out to PROPE? And we know Prope made a rhythm game recently a little known game called Let's Tap.

What do you think?

I think its unlikely Prope would want the task.
I think Sumo are better suited to games like Samba then Gearbox are... Yet gear box did a pretty good job. So I think Sumo would do a fine job.

SUMO is best at making things look "Correct" before all else, and on fairly tight budgets.

There are a lot of things I know they cannot do, but this is not one of them. I am 100% certain they could make the best version of Samba de Amigo ever... As long as they can get a high enough budget to allow for certain things. Many of these songs can get very expensive to license.

A question.

Am I the only one that thinks Samba de Amigo needs a new theme song? I remember hearing it on tv but even then I thought it wasn't all that great. It sorta gets on my nerves, the song, whenever I play sasasr.

It is not the theme song, Vamos A Carnaval is. Sonic Team actually made that song, and I love it.

Also has some cameos too!

Oh lol, allright thanks for clarifying. I'm not really a big Samba player but I always hear that one song whenever I get confronted with the character :P.

Anyway here a funny video of sonic in green hill. Sonic looks so serious while dancing lol

So if we have all decided on Sumo, then whose going to go and Call SOL and get his take on it?
