Right now I'm playing Hyperdimension Neptunia, basically because SEGA had something to do with it. Even if they were just the distributors. So far I like it! Complete Heart and Idea Factory have been on a string of making these 'indie'-esq JRPGs. I say indie because if I went up to a casual gamer and asked of thier opinion of say. Cross Edge, (That being their most popular game, pairing with CAPCOM and the like.) about 80% would just kinda go, "Wut?".
So far, I like it. the battle system they use is very interesting. I like the four button command option in these more modern RPGs. It keeps the consistency of the battle going. Also when your character levels up they gain more moves, special ones and whatnot. So as your team levels up so does their tactics. All the equipment have defining sprites. I've always really liked it when you change your equipment, the character's appearance changes too.
I beat Cave Story, and I'm EV training the fuck out of my team in white.
