It could be a prelude to Sonic Forces when in the end Eggman's succeed conquering the world.
Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails already showed up in Two Point Hospital, but as costumes only.
About time the real ones showed up.

Honestly, I think the idea would be better off as a Total War mod or something. Lead armies of robots, capture critter to turn into more robots, fight against other enemy factions such as GUN or Resistance.

I've only seen some gameplay footage. Given Dr. Eggman is more for conquering I'd figure such a thing would be more suited for Total War than Two Point.
