I wonder if we will come across a monkey with maracas in CT:WT Brazil?

But Amigo isn't a Brazilian. Amigo (and her sister Amiga) is from the fictional village of Maracas Village from unknown country but it looks like Mexico.
Also Amigo wears a Mexican sombrero, a red neckerchief, a green vest, and blue jean shorts, reflecting a stereotypical Mexican aesthetic so most likely he's a Mexican.

His friend, Linda, is the one who's probably came from Brazil.

And if you based it by the game title, Samba de Amigo, the game itself actually has almost none of Brazilian samba music.

What its music actually is Latin and Pop Hits. So despite the its title, the games feature a mix of global pop, dance, electronic, and general Latin-inspired tracks (such as "Macarena", "La Bamba", "Aserejé / The Ketchup Song", or modern pop like Ariana Grande and Kesha) rather than traditional Brazilian samba.
Even its two popular theme song are not a traditional Brazilian samba.

Bellini's "Samba de Janeiro" is a Eurodance dance-pop track while Vamos a Carnaval is a general Latin-pop-inspired dance music.
The correct title for the game may be "Latin Pop de Amigo" but I guess "Samba de Amigo" sound much cooler and ear-catching.

You're not. It's their fault for giving the game "Samba de Amigo" title, lol. Also Samba de Amigo features a strong carnival theme and Brazil hosts the world-famous Samba Carnival every year before Lent so they have the similarity at that part.

The game itself started way back from just a screen of a monkey dancing and holding maracas on a monitor, made by the new staffs at Sonic Team. They made use of Naomi circuit board, which had compatibility with both Dreamcast and arcade hardware).
Shun Nakamura-san (the current head of Sonic Team) made a presentation to Yuji Naka-san in which a new guy at the company danced with maracas in front of that moving screen. Of course, they hadn't created a movement system at all, because at this point it was nothing more than fictional technology. It succesfully made Yuki Naka-san roared with laughter and approved it and that's how the monkey got his first game.
