Well now that's ambitious.
I know I've played some game that does exactly what you are talking about, but I can't fully remember it's name.
(and next time put at least the topic title with Big Letters At The Beginning Of Words. Just to fit neatly with the rest )
it is clearly that most games get less story and more online play. for the gamemakers thats better cause they dont have to be creative. but there are plenty gamers who would enjoy to be with 4 at home playinng a role playing game with chips and tequilla and for the small kids among us have some twizzlers
i wonder why the local co op becomes exceptional in the rpg genre
pls dont count dungeon crawlers.
if u really played such a game try hard to name it cause i wanna experience that.
although i dont think it would perform well on a console and at the same time maintain the god pixelshaded graphics with a good distance rate. perhaps graphics of the DC on it could do well.
i want to citate a sega fan from sega.com:
Add offline local co-op PLEASE SEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Sega,
Please find a way to patch this game for offline local co-op. Everyone in the world can't afford Xbox live or even a great internet connection, but I would still love to be able to please this awesome game with friends and family on my Own Xbox. Just simply having two player offline co-op would be a wonderful thing. I wish companies would stop neglecting those of us who aren't paying for XBL.

many of us take our consoles with us on holiday. or simply dont have internet .
as for xbox360 thats a greater issue. u wont find most of the gamers happy with the fee they have to pay. they might pay for a month and then after they will be 6 months without online play.
nowadays like on ios there are even games u really cant play if you are not online. even when playing single mode your forced to be online.
many still enjoy local op. one of the games i see fit is battle of asgard . is a slow game with a far distance rate. the graphics are not too good and could make the local co op possible.
it would be asskicking havin my friends and play rpg and if someone plays bad i wontt swear but actually punch him in his face out of the blue on the couch. telling him to play better.
then again pls try hard to name that game cause i really want to see that system
