That isn't unusual for kickstarters, its reaching the slow middle period... There will be an upswing in the last days. I think it'll finish around the 5 million mark.

I'm only concerned because Bloodstained never got that low.
Then again, Bloodstained also never had the day one boost than Shenmue had.

I can't help but think this Kickstarter would be helped considerably had Sega released parts 1 & 2.

At this point, I do genuinely hope they open post-Kickstarter donations to help it reach the Ultimate Goal. Best case scenario: Sega releases full HD re-releases of 1+2, people buy them, see Shenmue 3 is taking donations, tons of people donate their money because they wanna see more.

Worst case scenario...we get a Shenmue 3 that isn't exactly what Suzuki wanted, but is still true to his vision.

Yu Suzuki isn't one to give in. He's been planning this for ages and the goal of 2 million was reached easily. This, might not be the full adventure, but sure as hell will be a good one.

If they start taking donations on their site after Kickstarter ends, I will fund it regularly the rest of its development. I'm sure a lot of people will as well. And take PayPal.

I don't think Suzuki is too interested in bringing the game to Microsoft platforms. Didn't Microsoft screw over Shenmue 2 on Xbox or something? All I remember is Peter Molyneux got called a bastard by airport security one time because he was "the one who killed Shenmue." I dunno shit about the actual situation.

I personally haven't pledged yet and don't plan to until the last few days. I want to see where it goes and if any better rewards are offered like a physical PS4 edition. I'm not surprised so few people have pledged...I mean...it's Shenmue. Most people don't even know what that is.

I was going to say, why would poor Molyneux get blamed for Shenners? Molyneux seems like a cool guy that loves making games but bites off more than he can chew. Then some hack journalist tore strips off him in some hatchet piece to try and save face and look like a grown up in the aftermath of GamerGate.
