A new Shining game! LOL is a beat 'em up!
« on: February 13, 2014, 10:01:59 pm »
To get an idea without beating about the bush here is the link to the game site(in Japanese): http://shining-world.jp/kakutou/.

p.s. as you can see from the All.Net P-ras Multi logo, the game is now intended to arcades.

Nice. I hope Sega keeps pumping out these fighters.

The one type of game that's import friendly.

Hmm another Poverty Fighter from Sega? I wish there was some full screen footage so I could see better what it looked like at least.

I'm always up for more fighting games, but I just don't know about these ones. I also wish it was some kind of Dream Match game where you had characters from past SF games.
Dantares vs Max!
High Priest Fiale vs Kane!
etc etc.

Only interested if we can play some of the classic characters... I don't even know any of the new ones.

You piqued my interest by calling it a "beat-'em-up." It's just a run-of-the-mill fighting game though... :\

Sorry if I illuded with that definition, but what perhaps you imagined, a side-scrolling beat'em up (à la Streets of Rage), I realized only after that actually is also common call it just beat'em up or brawler while of course I meant a one-on-one fighting game but using the generic term.

For an additional information the game is under development by Studio Saizensen which is responsible for Code of Princess and most importantly counts among its ranks several former Treasure developers including the Guardian Heroes director, the executive director and so on.

SEGA has been pretty busy with announcing new arcade titles... But still no Virtua Fighter 6! :(

Sadly, it seems that they make us sweat everything for this VF6, it looked like could reveal it at any moment already for some time...moreover it is the anniversary year, hopefully good... :-\

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, though I will admit, I'm kind of interested in that one...pretty much because of Akira and the backgrounds based on SEGA franchises.

Boring, another neo-age animated graphics, fighter. I have nothing against fighters, have nothing against animation, and all but when it does not look like Shining, and some kinda of Ninja thing, I mean why bother, at all. Imagine if all the Shining games had the graphics of this fighter?

Even "Art of Fighting" or whatever that game is with the Knight Lady, looks more like a Shining fighter. Sega has to get something straight, do not change the formula, to remove older audience, in hopes of attracting younger people.

I mean it looks so meh.....is this how Japan looks nowadays, another China. Ohhhh wait, I forget, Korea, Korea, Korea, they are making these games for their Korean audience.  Japanese is just the minority, and westerners will buy anything.
