Before reading, remember you have the power. Why not write to them, and request for the game to be ported to a smart ( ha ha ha ) phone.

Think about it like this, right now their are many games being made for dead consoles. I mean like enough for a person, to buy one for every holiday, birthday, and vacation of the year. Chances are "people who do not have the power to vote, have a real credit card, " are not going to be the ones purchasing these games. People are asking, why is the videogame market shrinking?
We ( who are no longer "minors" ) are now the pc gamers, power-users, responsible person, should have the realization of what we have in our hands. You get it now? Do you get it? WE HAVE THE POWER BECAUSE......In the end all that is left is us. Like the White Witch of Narnia, "her grip grew tighter and tighter", we can choose the slay her, or sacrifice a child of Adam, to bring her back to life.
Why not the west? Look at Microsoft banning all people from making X-box games, via home-made kits. Why is that? Microsoft wanted people to buy 360's ( even if most 360 games are X-box games. They wanted to sell dev-kits. If I did not mention this, even during a game systems life time, tons of home-made games were made, and even aftewards. In Japan, I could find a store running games, from 8-bit consoles, and an audience of people. The west for years have been trying to convert videogames, computers, media, and anything else into a tiny little box, why? Because all the "old money" people in the world do not respect new things. You have some art student in New Jersey right now, who made over thousands of dollars for an huge sculpted egg, and now he is working on another one even bigger, then that? A man in Japan, has been making home-made cars, he ships out around the world? A woman makes breast paintings, with her breasts? Does that make any sense at all? Not the normal consumer, and not to us videogame people??? Along with censoring/localization, everybody with the cash, ( our parents ) are demoting our love in our products.
I know it sucks to grow up, but in a range of wealth and spending, we are able to set the standard. We can shutdown the entire Microsoft, Nintendo, Taco-bell, British Petroleum, SONY, Apple, COSTCO, COSCO, if we wanted to, just by not giving a cent. We can pretend it is still, the golden age of gaming, and no deal with middle management. That is why capitalism is awesome. It is just that many of us are fooled by the "sugar coated" version of capitalism called marketing, advertisements, lobbying, and sales.
.......
Yes, yes, yes, I will admit, to get games like "Snatcher" to people, who are super impulsive, yes I agree, making an smart ( ha ha ha ) phone port of the game. Their are tons of game makers from the DOS age comming out, and porting thier previous games to the smart ( ha ha ha ) phones. Guess what? you can't own a smart ( ha ha ha ) phone, game, all you can do is play around with it, until the game is no longer supported, and for some reason your unable to transfer the files. To make things even more difficult with services like "Steam" and "Steam Box" your purchasing a product that is prone to damage, and being unrecoverable. You are right, for new users, who do not know what is what, this is a great idea, however you know what?
Chances are they could make more money, and give a legitimate product out to people. Making a dreamcast ( It could even be a SMS game ) game is twice as nice. Right now Dreamcast in Europe at least, has a chance of being revived.
While people do not want to think cruel, on the purchaser. Imagine that poor fool in a "third, fourth world nation" who barely makes a cent, and now is going to spend their money on a smart ( ha ha ha ) phone game. While it is a better medium for that one person, to enjoy the game, and it is at a smaller price, chances are, we all know that money could have been saved, or better spent.
In a nutshell smart phone games are combing the world of their smallest dime, to make a decent cent, that will eventually be collected as taxes, or a subscription.
Far ahead into the future, when we ( humanity as a whole ) are still being cheap, looney tune lemmings. These downloads will cost like -50, or even -200, and people will live in boxes like Bender and Fry from "Futurama". That one purchase help push that movement. Some of these downloads are costing -30 or even -50, as I have read on various information websites. Soon you will have a smart ( ha ha ha ) phone fill of nothing, or access to a download service, that you will be paying like a tax, a fine, a ticket, or what we foolishly call a bill.
