This would have to be one of the greatest SEGA crossovers so far as RGG Studio, formerly known as Amusement Vision, worked on the Super Monkey Ball series and then became CS1 R&D (RGG Studio) later to develop the Yakuza series.

As much as I am glad Master System games are getting some light over their Mega Driven successor, I feel if I can't even get though Yakuza 0 then I'm probably not cut out for the rest of the Yakuza games, let alone Lost Judgement.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's Dragon Engine Development Team won the Excellency Award for Engineering at CEDEC Awards 2021

The Dragon Engine development team from Sega’s Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio won the Excellency Award for Engineering.
It developed and shared an integrated QA (Quality Assurance) support system by combining automation and project management tools.
The team used screenshots from Yakuza: Like a Dragon in its presentation slide for the awards.

China’s NetEase in Talks to Hire Toshihiro Nagoshi
(Creator of Sega's Yakuza & Super Monkey Ball Series)

NetEase wants to play a bigger role in developing the games and content it hopes will turn into international hits, while also burnishing its credentials as a global rather than purely Chinese firm, the people said.
The publisher established a console game development studio in Japan last summer and hired industry veteran Tetsuya Akatsuka from Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. as its head.
Nagoshi’s hiring will extend that strategy, with the Yakuza creator likely to reprise his role of running a semi-autonomous studio within a larger organization.

There will be Sega and Atlus TGS 2021 news offered between October 1-3, 2021.

Lost Judgment Interview: Scott Strichart on Simultaneous Launches and Wrong Answers

Voice actor Greg Chun, who plays Yagami in Sega's Lost Judgment series, and Localization Producer Scott Strichart sit down to chat with us.

Q : "What was the hardest part of Lost Judgment to localize? What took the most care to make it easy for Western players to understand?"
Strichart: "From a technical standpoint, probably the minigame that returns from Yakuza Kiwami 2 where you have to string a bunch of words together in the correct order to make a functional sentence.
And worse, there’s a “hard mode” if you attempt it while drunk. Multiple words have to work in multiple situations, and it’s just… such a localization challenge."

I remember when I first played Yakuza 0, I couldn't find the option to switch from Japanese voice actors to English. Then I realised it's not suppose to, that them being japanese is part of their character. While I've only played half of the one Yakuza game that I can't regard my oppinion valid but should LJ have english voice actors or not?

Some prefer english dub, some prefer original Japanese voice.
It's hard to satisfy them all since english dub would mean more cost.
I prefer original VA but I'm glad they put english dub in LaD and LJ since I have that one friend who only played a game if it has english dub.
More sale to the game.
