E3 2010 Theories and Discussion Thread

[Sega Uranus]

With E3 only a month away (starts June 15, ends on the 17th) I am pretty surprised to see that no one has made a topic about it yet!

So what are you expecting to see and what do you want to happen that seems unlikely?



What I expect to see:

Nintendo
- Vitality sensor shown off, games that support it
- New WiiWare games, new Wii Channels, NetFlix on Wii discussed
- New 'Wii Series' game revealed next to Wii Party which is demoed
- New New Super Mario Brothers Wii, or a sequel to the DS release instead, maybe 3DS launch title
- Revival of a 15-25 year old franchise, maybe something like Kid Icarus
- Pikmin 3 revealed, demoed
- Metroid Other M demoed, release date revealed
- New online plans, maybe a pay-for service announced
- 3DS named and shown for the first time, along with games for it
- Pokemon Black and White shown off
- Epic Mickey trailer and playable at show floor
- Next The Legend of Zelda Wii trailer shown off to end the show

Microsoft
- Project Natal named, priced, dated
- Natal games revealed, demoed
- Two or three new Rare titles revealed, announced
- Halo Reach beta discussed, campaign demoed, full game dated
- Fable III demoed, Molyneux makes some basic boring shit sound amazing
- New XBLA games announced, demoed
- Exclusive RPG announced
- Gears of War 3 demoed
- New DLC revealed for stuff like Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2
- New features for Xbox Live announced
- Itagaki's new game revealed
- New Metal Gear Rising trailer
- Portal 2 trailer
- New Xbox 360 console model revealed, dated
- Halo 1 & 2 HD pack for Xbox 360 announced

Sony
- PlayStation Move games like The Shoot, Toy Story 3 and EyePet demoed
- PSP 4000 revealed
- New PSP games announced
- Resistance 3 revealed, dated
- New features for PlayStation Network revealed
- Free Realms for PlayStation 3 demoed
- Final Fantasy XIV demoed with new trailer
- New PlayStation HOME additions announced
- Little Big Planet 2 demoed, dated
- Agent trailer
- Sequel to whatever their card battle game was on PlayStation 3 announced
- God of War PSP 2 trailer


What I want, but is unlikely:

- Tons of SEGA arcade games revealed for downloadable services
- Shadow Complex 2 announced
- The Last Story coming West
- New Banjo-Kazooie game revealed and not for Natal
- Lost Odyssey II announced
- Blue Dragon 2 announced and not developed by Artoon
- Tomba 3 revealed
- PlayStation 2 and PSP games playable on PlayStation 3
- New Jak and Daxter for PlayStation 3
- The Return of Raffi

Probably some other stuff I am forgetting, but tell me what you all assume will be at E3 and well, just have a general discussion of it!

- More info on the Last Guardian. Possibly release date.
- ICO and SC HD double pack
- Release date for GT5, this year.
- SOCOM 4 info and beta date given
- MOVE demoed, priced, release date
- MOVE games will be demoed
- PSP2 announced. More information at TGS '09 (Developers have stated this is true)
- Splinter Cell game for PS3
- Syphon Filter game for PS3 (it is in the works)
- David Jaffe's game to be shown (Rumored to be Twisted Metal)
- Spacehawk teased (new Warhawk)

- Wii Play will take up a ton of the show (Like Wii Music and Wii Fit did before)

Microsoft:
- 3rd party game: Green Day Rockband opens the show
- Celebrities talk about the future and natal
- Natal shows off some of its software line up , casual friendly.
- Microsoft goes on about hardcore.
- Halo Reach details, beta numbers
- Fable 3 details and footage
- DLC talk
- MG Raiden game details, exclusive dlc
- New update for NXE to go with Natal.
- Next Halo game teased

George probably has the most accurate Sony E3.

More Gears of War 3 info?
I would think maybe a bit of footage from a level or something. maybe details ona new horde mode.

Perhaps some Killzone 3 announcement, perhaps unlikely with Resistance 3, although the last ones launched within a few months of each other.

I'd love to see more Vanquish details, some footage would be awesome.

As a fan of Warhawk, I've been waiting with baited breath the announcement of Starhawk. hopefully the ground shooting is more polished.

I wouldn't be surprised with Sony announcing inFamous 2 and Uncharted 3.
Mosty because voice actors from each have confirmed they're in development.

Here's hoping Ubisoft announces the on-again, off-again sequel to Beyond Good and Evil is definitely on.
