SEGA 3D Classics (retail for Japan)
« on: September 24, 2014, 03:17:21 am »

Just saw this on GamesTalk... apparently, SEGA is planning on releasing a special package for its 3D Classics.
It'll include :

  • 3D Space Harrier
  • 3D Fantasy Zone
  • 3D Outrun
  • 3D Streets of Rage
  • 3D Shinobi 2
  • 3D Ecco the Dolphin
  • Space Harrier 3D (Bonus)*
  • Out Run 3D (Bonus)*

It'll come out on Dec. 18, and cost 3 980 Yens.

* Original Master System versions (not to be confused by 3D Space Harrier and 3D Out Run)

I like it too, reminds me of some early concept art done by SEGA. I'mma import this so hard.

Why bother..they will probably localize this themselves. For some strange reason Sega seems to make a lot of money on collection game packages...

I need this in the worst way! If they don't localise this, I may have to import on of the new 3DS models.

ROJM: I like the cover and SEGA West is known for changing these types of covers for new ones by their marketing team.

I could see SEGA West releasing this, but dropping the games already on eshop and only releasing the wave 2 titles. Would mean new cover art, which I'd hope they'd have the same artist work on.

Does Ken Sugimori have other connections to SEGA besides Pulseman?

Just an FYI in case y'all want to import for more than the box...3DS is region-locked. No playing import games.

I will pay money JUST for him to make a blown up Blaze picture like that! :D

Love his Pokemon designs usually, so doing Classic SEGA characters in his free time would make me buy anything he draws! :D
Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.

Currently playing Yakuza 0.

He was meant to be involved in MAGICAL TURBO HAT...on the MD..but other than that he's known to be a big Sega fan...too bad he never made more games for them...
