At first Tekken, Street Fighter EX, Soul Blade, and most 3D fighting games for arcade at that time also didn't have a story.
They add story to the Playstation version because there's a rule from Sony that all games for PS1 must have an ending scene in the end, to reward players who played it.
SEGA doesn't have that kind of rule for Saturn.

Nintendo has always kept to it's own bubble. XBox and PlayStations has always had more advance specs than Nintendo consoles, yet Nintendo still had it's disney-like marketing that kept them on par with XBox and PlayStation.

Until recently that is. Nintendo has shot itself in the foot with Switch 2 and XBox seem to concede with their rivalry with PlayStation of late.

I simply haven't purchased any brand-new consoles since the Wii U. Not that I will emulate games currently on the market, but I'm using emulators for both exclusives and abandonware games as well as I don't have to set up actual consoles for it, taking up space.

Though, I will admit, a few Switch games have caught my eye. Such as Pokémon Sword/Shield, Pokémon Legends and Tears of the Kingdom.
Though even Sword/Shield looked dodgy in quality.
