Sorry, kid but if its not about what coloured scarf or underpants Sonic is wearing..or what game Yuji Naka is making when he's not even in sega anymore...you won't get that much attention..on an arcade game..made by you know..the company that this site is named after.....

This is now the 4th arcade rhythm game by Sega:

Crackin DJ
Project Diva
MaiMai

(all of these games feature music by the legendary HIRO btw, of Outrun, After Burner fame)

and now this. Konami makes bank on these games, and it's really one of the few Arcade attractions that still does well.

Seems like Sega use the same Artstyle approach of Chain Chronicle, latching multiple Anime artists.

What is there to say about it? Even all you managed was to complain that nobody else was discussing it... While not discussing it.

As much as I can relate (Sonic thread about the worst game ever? 10 thousand replies. 600 Man VF tournament? 2 Replies.), there's not much to talk about with Sega arcade anymore since nobody here will ever play the games unless they fly to Japan and plonk money on the arcade machine. None of them get translated or ported.

As for this game in particular, it's a rythm game? I've never really got into those, but I see people going hard as a motherfucker playing them, crazy stuff. I also approve of cute anime girls in sexy lingerie.

While may be arcade is considered dead in US or Europe, we still got many of them here in Asia.
Yep, it's a rhythm game. For me, Sega is good at making rhythm game, just like Konami.
Project Diva, Project Mirai, and Rhythm Kaito R are some of good sample in the handheld.

Yeah, legendary HIRO indeed, my fave from him of is MAGICAL SOUND SHOWER.  ;-D

In some malls near my place, we already got Crackin DJ and MaiMai.
Still no signs of Project Diva.
Most of people who play these games are girls.
Most guys prefer watching them playing these games than actually playing the games.

We mentioned Yuji Naka on the front page less than like 6 times since 2012, but whatever...

And what's the point in that ? Naka-san as long left SEGA Group . Maybe some will say about the 10% stake in Prope , but loads of corps have small stakes in various corps , I'm sure MS even has a stake in Apple.

The blog is fair enough, but to the likes of Rodea the Sky Soldier in the headline section is just a bit much isn't it ?. When it sod all to do with SEGA and SEGA aren't even the publisher of the title

It wasn't featured, just a blog post and we have had under 4 mentions of him in two years. I don't think its that big of a deal. I also covered Children of Eden when most blogs ignored the game after publishers dropped it.

I don't think its bad to support ex-SEGA developers by posting a couple of articles on their upcoming games a year. The less Japanese studios that are doing mobile games the better, don't you agree? (not saying the game would sell millions because of a small blog post, but at least fans that are interested in Naka's work will know it exist.)

I just find it all a bit depressing and a way to cover the lack of any note worthy things from SEGA these days (bar the odd title) . I have immense respect for Naka-san coding skills, but his days at SEGA are long gone

Gotta pad out the news with something bro, only so many times we can read about 'Japan Exclusive RPG made for Mobile Phones announced. Will Feature micro-transactions.'.

Game looks odd to me, but I'd certainly give it a go if I were in Japan. Those arcades are a wet dream, so many goodies exclusive to Japan. I visited for a week in 2005, saw Joypolis in Tokyo, but honestly can't remember if I went inside or not... I mostly remember SegaWorld in London from a 1999 trip.

I posted because its my blog and I like to talk about ex-SEGA developers, that's why.

As you should. If the front page or forums didn't mention current projects from ex-SEGA developers, I'd find myself rather agitated to not read about them. Even if people have decided Naka is crap without 1990s Sonic Team, I'm still curious what he's up to today.
