Heroki, a game that was shown off at PAX by SEGA a couple of years ago, is releasing pretty soon. Going through final QA pass. I asked if SEGA's still publishing it and they are.

Woah, that Heroki game looks good id play it... Weird that the release date was originally for 2012... Its 2015 and still not out.

No, it's not F2P.
Of course there are some paid dlc like £50 million club's bank balance or The Magic Sponge which could help healing an injured player, but they are not necessary needed to play.
And all the reviews I've read seems to be positive.

Added Monster Gear (Mobile)

Sega announced Monster Gear, a free-to-play smartphone “hunting action” game (with micro-transactions) coming to smartphones in Japan next month.
The game lets up to four players come together to fight. A single mission takes about five minutes.

Its simple controls allow for single-hand play, with “Attack,” “Guard,” and “Special Pair Attack” making up its three basic operations.
Hunter weapons available to players include the large sword, lance, pair sword, hammer, and bow
