Project X Zone 2: Brave New World (3DS)
« on: April 10, 2015, 11:23:00 am »
So Project X Zone 2 was mentioned as one of Namco Bandai's upcoming games in an Italian article that went up too early and was later removed:

The highlighted game, Saints Seya Soldiers' Soul, was announced after the article was taken down, so it sounds like Project X Zone 2 is coming as well for the 3DS. Apparently Namco Bando held a press conference at an event in Italy, which is where this comes from.

Namco Bando

No but in all seriousness I'm pretty excited for this. With the upcoming Worlds Unite crossover (or as I just like to call it, Sega VS Capcom), it seems like a pretty convenient time for another X Zone. I just hope they put in more recognizable Sega characters, like come on. The guy from Die Hard Arcade? Really?

it was great in terms and fan-service and the gameplay itself was pretty good.  The problem was the length, some stages took waaay to long to complete and often times got boring.

I had a really good time with the first game.
It was a bit long, but the battle system was fun, and the game didn't ever take itself too seriously.

Really  can't wait to play through the sequel.

I loved that the original got the special edition box treatment, even if it was just a soundtrack and poster. Game itself had fun fan-service and was good for a single playthrough. Looking forward to the sequel and hope it gets a US release.

Yakuza characters are in, strangely enough the Yakuza: Dead Souls versions of the characters. Also Shinobi and Strider in the same team.

That's three teams confirmed per publisher so far

Sega
Yakuza: Kiryu and Majima
Sakura Wars: Ichiro Ohgami and Erica
Virtua Fighter: Akira and Kage (huh?)

Bamco:
Tales of Vesperia: Yuri and Flynn
Tekken: Jin and Kazuya (wut, don't they want to kill each other or something)
.hack: Kite and Haseo

Capcom:
Resident Evil: Chris and Jill
Devil May Cry: Dante and Vergil
Mega Man X: X and Zero

Support:
Leon

There are also three ninjas from each publisher that I'm not entirely sure about.
Shinobi: Hotsuma
Strider: Strider Hiryu
Soul Calibur: Natsu

But I think the first two are teamed?

PS2 Shinobi seems to have a following in Japan.  There's a stage in Dengeki Bunko too.
Yakuza of the Dead, perhaps to give Kazuma and Majima interaction with Resident Evil and Devil May Cry characters and more "supernatural awareness".
