SMS Golden Axe Tyris Flare Edition Project
Hack of Golden Axe for Sega Master System

This is a ROM hack that replaces Ax Battler (Tarik), with Tyris Flare, for the Sega Master System version of Golden Axe.
This hack also replaces pretty much every graphic in the game, as well.
It's currently in a WIP state, but there isn't much left to do.

Sega "didn't mean to dredge up painful memories" by releasing Golden Axed game made during crunch
Steam listing edited to remove "slur"

"We certainly didn't mean to dredge up painful memories for Mr. Dawson and his former colleagues or appear disrespectful.
We've removed the line from the Steam copy that could have been taken as a slur on the development and would like to reassure everyone that it was intended as a comment on the build we had ported to PC, not the quality of the original work.
We're hoping lots of fans play the prototype and can appreciate the work he and his colleagues put into this developing this prototype."

The Analogue Duo is described as an all-in-one NEC system, as it can use CD Roms, HuCards, Super CD Roms, and TurboChips to play PC Engine, SuperGrafx, and TurboGrafx-16 games. (It is region-free.)

The Analogue Pocket Is Designed To Play Games From All Game Boy Systems
and Through Adapters It Could Play Game Gear Games
including Ax Battler: A Legend of Golden Axe

Essentially, the system is able to play 2,780+ Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, and through adapters, other systems like Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, and more.
The Analogue Pocket is also set to have a dock that will connect it to the TV via HDMI.
In TV mode, 8BitDo controllers can be connected via Bluetooth, as well as wired USB controllers.

Interview with Sanatana Mishra and Tim Dawson (“Golden Axed” developers)

Trivia : Sega Scrapped A Golden Axe Remake With Odin Sphere-Style 2D Visuals

"This was different with Golden Axe remake by Sega Australia.
I mean, I've seen the one you mean, but this one I'm talking about had graphics that looked like Odin Sphere.
The characters were of that quality, and the animation had that same kind of jaunty fluidity."
