Sonic games now have longer development schedules for higher quality games

While Sega used to release Sonic games on an almost yearly basis, Webber points out that the quality wasn’t at the level “it needed to be” in some cases due to rushed production schedules.
In response, a couple of years ago the teams involved decided to “put more time into things as [they] go forward”, hence the longer wait for information.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout adds Sonic the Hedgehog costume on October 14

Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Mediatonic have announced a collaboration with Sega to bring a Sonic the Hedgehog-inspired costume to Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout as part of its Season 2 content.
The Sonic the Hedgehog costume will be available starting October 14.
It can be purchased via the the in-game store for 10 crowns.

Retro Review: Sonic 3-D Blast (Saturn)
A seven week port!

Hidden in the levels, you will find Tails and Knuckles just standing around looking bored. (Tails even yawns.)
Give them 50 rings, and they will send you to what is absolutely the best part of the game, the Saturn exclusive Bonus Stage!!
For me, these stages alone are worth the price of admission.
The music is one of the most funky tunes I’ve heard in a Sonic game and the levels play like a slightly improved version of the Sonic 2 Bonus Stage.
No Tails to steal your rings, it’s a bit easier (AKA less frustrating), and the ability to roll or jump higher adds a new twist.

Essentially, the system is able to play 2,780+ Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games, and through adapters, other systems like Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, and more.
The Analogue Pocket is also set to have a dock that will connect it to the TV via HDMI.
In TV mode, 8BitDo controllers can be connected via Bluetooth, as well as wired USB controllers.

Crushing Disappointments: Shadow the Hedgehog

Navigating around levels and shooting enemy after enemy with a bunch of generic auto aiming weapons simply wasn’t fun.
All of the AI attacked you, no matter which mission you where playing, forcing you to kill everything in site regardless of whether you where trying to help one side or the other.
The slippery controls for Shadow himself and the absolutely horrid vehicles didn’t help matters.
Neither did the dark, drab, ugly looking graphics.

Chao's Garden Spiritual Succesor in Baland Wonderworld

There will also be cute creatures called Tims that are “born from the happiness felt by inhabitants of the real world.”
It sounds like interacting with Tims on the Island of Tims will be reminiscent of interacting with Chaos in the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate 9.0.0 Update Buffs Sonic Stats

Thanks to patch notes found on Nintendo’s official website, we now understand that Sonic will have reduced vulnerability, increased power and higher agility when performing certain moves.
With this new update, Sonic really is playing with power.

Sonic Generations (3DS)
Great 3-D graphics with HD quality models

The environments look great for the most part and the 3-D is done really well, adding a lot of depth.
This is especially true in heavily scrolling levels like Casino Night Zone.
Models are especially well done. You can see it best when in the Special stages and in the cutscenes, which now have moving 3-D models instead of just still images.

IDW has announced “Sonic The Hedgehog: The IDW Collection, Volume 1”, the first in a series of hardcover oversized books spanning the IDW Sonic series in recommended reading order.
This means that the ongoing series, annuals, and mini-series will all see release under this format as future volumes release.
