Of course I could always change my mind if they suddenly release a new character that I'd love to play right away (Harrier from Space Harrier, Tyris from Golden Axe, or Raphael from Rhythm Thief) but I doubt they are gonna releasing them.

Way I see it, CrossWorlds seem to be a bit of an amalgamation of Sonic Riders, Sonic All-Star Racing: Transformed and bits of Team Sonic Racing. while it doesn't have the Sega All-Star name, the fact three other Sega characters are included may mean other Sega characters will be added as well.
so there is some hope.
