does it transform?
Nope.

I'm near-sighted, so if anything my vision is better in VR.
I dunno if VR is advance enough to take into account eye-conditions. I don't know if glasses would work for far-sighted people in VR given the screens are close to your eyes already.
Right now they are not that advanced, but soon it will be ... at least according to prophecy of the man from the future, KFK.
Are you familiar with KFK?
He's a China's most infamous internet legend who showed up in 2019 in a moment, claimed that he's from the future, answering some questions which most of it turned out to be true, and then dissapeared.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwqD_DccBbkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUtO1DFsApUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfXRc7jwWkIHe predicted right about the end of 2019 would be a turning point of human history, about remote working, and the changes of technology (AI).
He also said that there'll be a cold war followed by a 3+ years of a worldwide World War starting from 2048, then followed by a spiritual enhancement on human's side at the end later but that's another story.
In the gaming world, he said that years later Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are predicted to offer more engaging, immersive experiences.
The future might involve new control methods like virtual controllers using magnetic fields or optical systems, with more extreme (and "far-fetched") ideas including direct neural input.
Let's hope the Sonic fandoms collective arrogance won't screw Sonic over like last time.

Actually Sonic fandoms were already pissed off with the TGA2025 nominee announcement and showed their anger in X and Facebook, but at least now their energy was directed toward TGA2025 Team insted of other games.
The reason is because ‘SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3’ movie wasn’t nominated for Best Adaptation at The Game Awards.
TGA Team likely forgot it was eligible since it released last December.

And funny thing is Knuckles TV Series was nominated last year.
Knuckles was able to get nominated while Sonic 3 isn't right now is kinda ironic.
