It's probably a kind of post-power syndrome.
Like it or not Yuji Naka was really a genius coder.
He even made an emulator that could make NES games run on SEGA Mega Drive (kinda like Bleem! for Dreamcast) but of course SEGA didn't want to release it.
Not only a genius code, he also had a leadership ability so that SEGA trust him to lead so many game s project.

His attitude aside, I do love many of his games, they're mostly fun and fresh ...
especially Feel the Magic XY/XX, Chuchu Rocket, 16-bit sonic series, Samba de Amigo, PSO, and of course his best one of all for me... Phantasy Star II.

So, perhaps should't be too harsh on him? Even if Insider Trading was a scandal for him, he still provided for Sega at the time.
Press F to pay respects.

At least for me yeah, others may have different opinion and it's okay.
Besides he's already been punished and spent time in a jail for the Insider Trading thing.

SEGA co-founder David Rosen passed away on Christmas Day, 2025

Quote
It’s a sad day for all of us Sega fans. One of the most important people in the entire history of Sega has finally left this mortal coil.
David Rosen, the founder of Rosen Enterprises, which would later become the company we all know and love today as Sega, has passed away on December 25th, 2025 at the age of 95 in his Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles home. His funeral was held on January 2nd, 2026 at Inglewood Park Cemetary. News of his passing only just became public on January 2nd courtesy of Replay Magazine.
Very few people in the history of Sega are more worthy of being celebrated than David Rosen. He alone began the chain of events that led to the creation of Sega, and by extension, many of the games they had brought to the world that touched our hearts for decades. Whether it’s ...

Sonic Comes To The Commodore Amiga (In Tech Demo Form, At Least)
Available in both 32 colour and 16 colour versions

Quote
RetroRic has released a playable demo of Sonic's opening stage, running on the Amiga, available in both 32-colour and 16-colour versions. He says the release was inspired by the fact that fellow homebrew coder Reassembler is currently working on a similar project, albeit one with a wider scope.
RetroRic admits that this was "only meant to be a graphical demo", but it soon grew in size and has become an "almost complete level 1 of Mega Drive Sonic the Hedgehog, in both ...

True. But it's difficult to know the truth on people, and sometimes I feel like a hypocrite when I am wrong. Such as the time I believed Micheal Jackson was a nonce.

Hell, I just found out EmuEmi, one of my fave Sonic content creator, was a manipulative bitch all along just a few days a go. It's likely because of her Ryan Drummond will never be allowed to reprise the role of Sonic in any shape or form given the scandal Emi started with him.

Yes, I found out about this a few days a go. I sometimes forget Sega started out in Hawaii, not Japan... which perhaps explains why Sega has had difficult relations with Japan of late. But still you think David Rosen could've possibly imagine how far Sega would go at the time of that photo?

I didn't know that. Was the scandal happened recent or a long time ago?

All I know that the one that lost many fans recently was Mike Pollock when he made of jokes around the victims of the genocide in Palestine.
But he still voices Doctor Eggman in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds so I guess he's still safe.

May be yes, may be no. I think he dreamed of a kind of success, but he gets much much more than what he imagined.
Video games weren't a phenomenon culture back then, it's still a niche market.
But he said in an interview that he built the company with the intent to succeed through innovation and identifying niches in the market.
He dreamed that someday video game would be a niche market anymore and that SEGA would be succeed since they're starting early, persistent, and constantly pushed for new idea.

"Bedtime Eggman" is Coming to Sonic Rumble!

Quote
Known as "Bedtime Eggman", this skin takes a lot of cues from the original concept of the egg-shaped genius, long before he was ever considered a villain within the creative walls of Sonic Team. There's been a lot of discussion about SEGA/Rovio's handling of Sonic Rumble's microtransactions and in-game economy, but I have to say that as far as bonus skins go, this is pretty creative. A real ...

EmuEmi was a popular Sonic fan YouTuber. She sang covers of Sonic songs and even the "Sonic & Tails R" radio play. She was so popular, she rubbed elbows with Sonic Team celebrities. When it came to Dreamcast-era Sonic voice actor Ryan Drummond, she did more than "rub elbows" with him, if you catch my drift. Drummond was going through a separation at the time, so he didn't do anything "wrong", but the fact he was still married at the time and EmuEmi, a Sonic fan, bragging about it on Twitter, it just made it look more scandalous.

If that video I posted is true, she was rather manipulative to keep her position as a favoured fan to Sonic Team.

Well, if it were not for him, This would likely be "NINTENDObits" website and forum.

Damn. Scandal in a video game world, but not from the staffs from the game company itself.
