We are revisiting Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-Bit), a game that many of us played in the back of the car on a battery-draining Game Gear.Unlike the speed-focused Genesis version, this game was all about precision, exploration, and some seriously unforgiving platforming. SEGA recently merged a number of its established company’s into two separate divisions. Unit 1 houses teams focused on single player experiences and Unit 2 houses teams which are primarily focussed on multiplayer experiences. SEGA has now announced that Sonic Team will now permanently be housed in Unit 1 as it primarily works on the Sonic video games.
