Yes he did invented the phonograph.... which was an improved design over Charles Cros 1877 concept "palephone" which in turn was an improved design over Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville 1857 invention the phonautograph.
It;s like the lightbulbs He takes ideas and makes them a marketable product.

On SNN I remember bringing this up myself. Helen would of been the perfect human partner for Chris. And the fact Sonic can use his legs to run everywhere while Helen cannot use her legs, well it's less of irony and more of poetic beauty f how such friendships form and not let them define friends.
