ALL of the episodes in Slingshot Stories S3 got released prematurely on Ruutu

Angry Birds Slingshot Stories premieres on October 15th but similar to what happened with S2's latter episodes, ALL of the episodes in Slingshot Stories S3 got released prematurely on Ruutu, a Finnish exclusive streaming service.

The "Evil Doppelgänger" trope is an over-used cliché but it can still be good if done right.

There are three types:

1. "Alternate Self", which is fairly common, where they come from an alternate timeline or parallel world where they were once the same person as the protagonist at one point but different circumstances lead them to being someone else. The factors that change them could be at a specific point in their loves or perhaps the entire consist of "fixed points in time" that ended up opposite that made the natives naturally be opposite.


2. "Evil Counterparts" who may or may not be related to the protagonist, but they still possess abilities and skillsets that rival to the protagonist. this could range from Criminal Doppelgänger (who may only bare a passing resemblence to the protag than look like them) to Evil Twin.


3. "Evil Knockoff" is when some other villain decides to fight fire with fire and make their own version of the protagonist to fight for them. This could be done with cloning or robot doubles.

So Sonic Prime has all the three of them then? Wow.

Yeah but the only two that fit the bill are Shadow and Chaos Sonic while the other characters are mostly alternate versions of Sonics friends and not inherently evil. It does feel like everyone automatically detest Sonic for one reason or another whenever he shows up but they have their own morals and reasons than straight-up hate him.

Sometimes it's for its own good. Too many characters could confuse new fans.

That's true... but veteran fans are still asking for them.

Times like this that while I complained a lot over Sonic Boom, if it were to have kept going who knows what direction they could have taken with it and who they would introduce, like they did with Vector.

Vector's appearance in Boom was really a nice surprise back then.
While hopefully Prime could give us new surprises too later, I kinda doubt it due the story's starting to reach its climax.

Yeah. I think Sonic Prime has a fixed set of Green Hill characters to base Shatter-counterparts on.
I'm just sayin' Sonic Boom TV series had potential, just that potential was squandered.
