Those Chao shorts were posted by Sonic the Hedgehog channel for western fans while these 'Sonic & Friends' shorts were posted by Sonic the Hedgehog channel for Japan.
No 'Sonic & Friends' shorts ever made to western youtube channel.
They are made as advertising for 'Sonic & Friends' plushies which are sold only in Japan afterall.

Still, if the atudio that made those shorts had the original animation files, they could've changed the camera format and repost them.
