Yeah ... and this one somehow is popular and won Excellence Award in Japan Toy Award 2025

MushiKing is getting a revival? I mean, I know they had the one anime, and I knew they were popular in Japan but I dunno if MushiKing was a passed trend in Japan or not.

The SEGA Mushiking Arcade's game is indeed really popular but it has other big factor ... the cards that can be scanned in by a Mushiking arcade machine.
The card collecting thing was a huge trend (other example is Pokemon cards).
Well, no wonder since this trend is kinda using the same mechanism used in slot machines and video games with the "opening a pack of cards" thing.
You don't know what you're going to get, which keeps your brain engaged and chasing that “what if” moment.
