Persona Series Sells 1 Million Copies From April to June 2025,
Persona 5: The Phantom X Surpasses Expectations

According to the financial results, the Persona series sold approximately 1 million units worldwide (including digital and physical sales) through April, May and June 2025. The Persona series sold 3.58 million copies last fiscal year from the beginning of April 2024 to the beginning of March 2025 as confirmed in a previous financial report.

SEGA has released its financial summary for the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year
Sonic series records 770K unit sales in Q1, while Yakuza/Like a Dragon got 690K unit sales

The company's forecast for the rest of the year is looking a little more optimistic. Sega reckons it'll do better this year than last when it comes to sales, driven largely by the release of new Sonic Racing and Football Manager titles later in 2025.
Indeed, Sega's first quarter may have been a little more lucrative had the studio not canceled Football Manager 25 in order to focus on its successor earlier this year, but from a quality perspective, that was likely the right decision to take.

SEGA’s first Japan store signals ‘immersive entertainment’ push
Sales of SEGA's toys, clothing, and other merchandise generated ¥133 billion (about $895 million) for the company in the last fiscal year.

Japanese video game publishers are increasingly listening to investors demanding they leverage their treasure trove of intellectual property into tangible goods that avid fans are only too happy to snap up.
The new retail outlet is part of what Sega calls its “transmedia strategy” and follows the opening of a Shanghai store in May. The move is meant to increase sales of toys, clothing and other merchandise, a segment that Sega says generated ¥133 billion (about $895 million) for the company in the last fiscal year.
