Atgames SEGA Genesis troubles
« on: January 21, 2016, 08:17:51 pm »
So I bought my son the Sega Genesis classic console from Atgames. It's pretty cool for what it is, I'd like to be able to play my collection with him but as it is I am miles away from it.

Anyways,  I ordered one of the Megagame Expert carts from Belgium and three weeks later it finally arrived...

...and it doesn't work.

So that brings me to my point. Is there anything I can do to get it working? I but my games in .bin format in a folder titled "games" and made sure it was formatted to fatal and still nothing. Not even the built in games show up.

Im not afraid to open it up if needed. I just need it working.

What's your Atgames' Genesis console model?
All that I know Megagame Expert 's only compatible with SM-2604 and SM-3000 consoles.

But I'm no fan of ATgames (since the emulation isn't perfect) so I could be wrong.
I'd prefer real Genesis console with Everdrive (or the cheaper chinese version, Megadriver)
Cost $75 of them.
Genesis console : $ 40
Megadriver : $ 35

Did you create the folder called "games" or was it already on there? If you created it, maybe it's a capitalization issue... like it might need to be "Games" or "GAMES"... it's a longshot, but might be worth checking, anyway.

Tried reformatting a SDHC card and renaming the folder Games" to "GAMES" and it doesn't work. I also have a Genesis Ultimate Portable handheld to test the SD card on and its doesn't work in Fat16, only Fat32.

I'm getting close to calling this officially DOA. Getting a refund from Belgium should be fun at least   ::)
