Most likely yes.
UK is still big market for SEGA, not just for games, but also for merchs.
It's just UK had a different taste with Asia and US.
While US and Asia love Yakuza, Shinobi, and Persona merchs, UK is more into Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, or console (Mega Drive/Dreamcast) merchs.
Both loves Sonic merchs though.

Being a Monty Python comedian is safer option.

It's the other way around in Japan.
World of Warcraft has received a generally poor reception in Japan primarily due to the lack of a Japanese version of the game, which includes a lack of Japanese language support and dedicated servers.
In Japan, engaging with the games community is the key.
