We gave the original release a B- in our review of it in 2018, and speaking personally, it is one of my favorite Genesis games of all time. I think Tanglewood ranks up there with some of the best games from the Genesis’s time as a commercially relevant console. With that in mind, I can heartily recommend Tanglewood in any form it comes in, but I think you’re going to really appreciate this new Definitive Edition. It is currently exclusively available on the Nintendo eShop in North America and Europe as a download game. No word yet on if or when it will come to any other platforms.
The original version of Tanglewood is still available on Steam, GOG, and itch.io for Windows, Mac (Only for old, 32-bit Mac computers, unfortunately), and Linux. All PC versions also come with ...

Flycast is good. I heard there's problem with Sonic Adventure 1 and Power Stone 2, but other games work fine if the setting's right.
I only want to use emulators for the few exclusives or abandonware games I want to play. For example, I could use Flycast to play Shenmue games in which case it may or may not be janky etc, but I already have the Shenmue games on Steam where they're optimised for modern computers.
But it would be nice to be able to optimise settings for individual Dreamcast games. For example, Seaman. I know the game was not made for the keyboard and mouse, but given you can map controls for Flycast, I think it would be better if you could make the game for mouse and keyboard. However, I don't know how to set control schemes for individual games.

Yeah, keyboard & mouse control will be perfect too for Typing of the Dead, Phantasy Star Online, Outrigger, and Quake 3.
May be there are way to set them properly but I never look them up.

There is, but I've yet to figure it out. Maybe those options are available on redream, but again, I don't want to get an emulator with a paywall.

So far, I figured out how to access settings for individual games on Flycast, and I noticed the "Make Game Config" button, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
I mean, sure, I can map the keyboard and mouse to the game, but I can't input mouse-movement in the game. *Maybe* I can if I can edit the .cfg file directly, but it doesn't seem to make one.

(Do mouse motion even have .cfg commands?)

I've also yet to figure out if I can get Flycast to treat my webcam as a Microphone and/or Dreameye. Not that I need the latter.

It just be so much easier if Sega would just re-release Seaman for PC.

SEGA's currently licensing Seaman to its creator.
But unfortunately the game/simulation's (called Seamania Protocol) only available in Japan and integrated with blockchain and AI thing.

I can't read it, but blockchains reminds me of NFTs, so sounds like the creator of Seaman ruined it.

NFT does connect to Blockchain but not the other way around.
Blockchain is the underlying technology (a decentralized digital ledger) while an NFT is a unique digital asset that lives on a blockchain.

Yes. Plus Seaman Protocol was also like how now we could chat with AI chatbot (ChatGPT, Meta, Gemini) before AI became the norm like right now.

Just may be more cynical given of Seaman's personality.

Japan Dreamcast Exclusive 'Macross M3' Gets An English Translation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJe3xEsY8n8

Quote
Released in 2001 and only available in Japan, this 3D shooter isn't a good game by any stretch of the imagination – in fact, like many Macross video games, it's painfully average – but I spent a significant amount of my meagre student salary on picking up a copy from a local importer, so I was determined to extract as much entertainment from it as was possible.
A highlight of the game is its animated introduction and bespoke storyline, the latter of which went completely over my head back in 2001, as it's all in Japanese.
Fast forward to the present day, and a fan translation has been released by NetsuiAya, which finally allows English-speaking fans to understand the ...

"I Have All The Freedom & No Power" - Segagaga & Astro Boy Director Tez Okano On His Greatest Hits & Going Indie

Quote
As Okano readily admits. his first few games for the company weren't particularly successful. But, in 2001, he would eventually break this streak, making a name for himself in the world of games as the creator of the cult Japanese-exclusive Dreamcast RPG Segagaga. This was a game that saw players take control of Sega Taro, a young boy, tasked with saving a struggling Sega from losing the console market to their biggest rival, the developer DOGMA — a parody of Sega's then-competitor Sony. The game went on to generate a ton of attention and praise for its self-referential humour and put Okano on the map as one of the most unique creative voices working in games.
Following that, he then went on to work on various other notable titles for Sega, including the excellent Astro Boy: Omega Factor and Gunstar Super Heroes and has also been responsible for ...
