The Simpsons: Hit & Run Is Being Unofficially Ported To Dreamcast

Quote
Modder maximqad / craf7y24 is porting The Simpsons: Hit & Run to the Sega Dreamcast, it has been reported.
The modder has previously ported Half-Life Deathmatch and Counter-Strike to Sega's console and clearly knows the hardware well.
Released in 2003, Hit & Run is a sequel to 2001's The Simpsons: Road Rage, and both games were ...

Well, I hope MegaPixel will bring it up with VALVe. Not that it matters to me much.

I don't think they care much about it either as long as their games are still showing on the Steam page.

If Dreamcast games can be ported to the Gamecube, I don't see why not it can go backwards.

True, but I would want my customers to see my full wares on one convenient page than them having to search for seperate pages.

No, going backward shouldn't be possible without many efforts since Dreamcast's hardware is lesser than Gamecube.
Gamecube's boasting 162 MHz compared to Dreamcast's 100 MHz.
Its T&L GPU has a lot faster geometry performance than Dreamcast.

Then they should make a page first on Steam since they don't have it.
The one who put their company name on Steam was their publisher, Forever Entertainment, otherwise they wouldn't get known on Steam.

Maybe, I would have two business accounts if one is for more maturer games to market that i wouldn't want my general/family audience to know of.

Not easily, it hasn't even been finished yet. It could take 2-4 years.

That reminded me of Hideo Kojima who back then used a fictional game studio called "Moby Dick Studio". And also the famous case is Stan Lee, born Stanley Martin Lieber, used his pen name because he was initially embarrassed to be writing comic books, which were considered low-status in the mid-1900s.

Hopefully. Some fan projects stopped midway due to complexity of making it fit into inferior hardwares without sacrificing something (speed, glitch, etc).

Now that's something worth to embarass for.

After 25 Years, Rare Footage Of Space Channel 5's MTV Crossover Has Finally Resurfaced Online

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HwWfSWTFqk

Quote
Rare footage of a promotional crossover between Sega's Dreamcast classic Space Channel 5 and the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards has appeared online, definitively bringing an end to decades of misinformation.
Back in 2000, several outlets, including IGN and Gamespot, reported that Ulala, the pink-haired reporter and protagonist of the Sega rhythm game, would present the Best Dance Video award at the music awards show, which took place on September 7th of that year. However, fans and video game historians have been unable to find any footage of this crossover actually taking place, leading people to suspect it was planned but cancelled for some unknown reason.
Over the years, notable Sega of America figures, including former president Peter Moore and Sega of America's promotions manager Heather Kashner, have ...

If there are games on both Dreamcast and Gamecube, then I believe it's possible. Not for all Gamecube games, but for some.
Now that's something worth to embarass for.
Gotta admire the guy for not being afraid of pushing the envelope.

The early year games probably. Just like some early third party Mega Drive games which still feels like 8-Bit games but with polished graphic.

What about, and bare with me... Amazing Island? Could that be ported to the Dreamcast? The game itself seems simple enough for it.
I was going to suggest Billy Hatcher but... I dunno.

That's depended on who's willing or having time to port them.
maximqad / craf7y24 is probably a fan of The Simpsons so he picked that game.
