LINE NEXT launches RENT A HERO Z, based on a legacy SEGA Game, in Australia, Canada, and India. LINE NEXT’s RENT A HERO Z marks the long-awaited return of the beloved franchise, arriving 36 years after the original RENT A HERO debuted in 1991. While preserving the unique charm and spirit that earned the original title its following, the new game has been fully reimagined for mobile platforms with modern gameplay and enhanced content.

The original RENT A HERO, an action role-playing video game released by SEGA in 1991 for the Mega Drive console in Japan, built a passionate, dedicated fanbase with its highly original premise of a protagonist working a part-time job as a hero wearing rented combat armor. It delivered a compelling story filled with courage, laughter, and touching moments. Later in 2000, a remake titled RENT A HERO No. 1 was released for Dreamcast.

Building upon the original “hero-for-hire” universe, RENT A HERO Z introduces a modern interpretation of the franchise while staying true to its roots. Players can enjoy dynamic action gameplay alongside puzzles integrated into the exploration, challenging high-difficulty missions, and a global ranking system designed to ...

Ah, sorry. I meant Retro-Fighters.
Ah! You had my hopes up. I'm still waiting for the Retro-Bit Dreamcast controllers and checking on this page often in hopes for update.
If they did make a Dreamcast Pro Controller, I have a gut feeling it will not be to my expectations.

And by the looks of those StrikerDC controllers, I'm not really surprised why they're not selling well. A plain looking design for $55? Getting a Dreamcast dongle for wireless XBox controller would likely be cheaper.

Their Wireless 6-Button D6 Dreamcast Controller For Dreamcast, Switch, and PC is good though.
Especially for those who loves Capcom and SNK fighting games or just prefer Saturn-like controller.

So are Retro-Bit's Mega Drive and Saturn controllers. And if those Retro-Bit receivers work with any wireless controller, then when Retro-Bit does release Dreamcast controllers means they will release recievers for the Dreamcast allowing backwards compatability with their other Sega Collab and Platinum Collection controllers. At least I presume. It does say on the SEGA Saturn® Wireless Receiver that it can be "Ideally paired with Retro-Bit's SEGA® Bluetooth controllers".

Unfortunately Retro-Bit receivers only work with their own specifically paired, officially licensed controllers. Because they utilize proprietary 2.4GHz or non-standard Bluetooth signals, they cannot connect to other third-party controllers or modern console gamepads unless the makers of other third-party controllers programmed them to work with Retro-Bit receivers (which for now they didn't).

True, but say you wanted to play any of Dreamcast' fighting games. If Retro-Bit released a receiver for Dreamcast, then you can use a wireless Sega Saturn controller for it.

Now, granted, the D6 wireless controller costs $50. But, the standard wireless Saturn controller costs $35 and comes with free receivers for all Retro-Bit controllers!
While, yes, the Pro Controller I got was also $50, I'd say it's still better than the D6 for having XInput in mind. But it also came with two receivers, one for the Sega Saturn and the other for my PC.

I don't know the price of upcoming Retro-Bit Dreamcast controllers, but if any of them also include receivers for both PC and Dreamcast, that means that while it would cost... I'm guessing, $70-80 for a wireless Sega Saturn controller and a wireless Dreamcast controller, it's wireless receivers for respected consoles will allow you to use of the two controllers for any of the two consoles. But what I'm point out is, while it still costs more than the D6 to buy two controllers, you're still technically paying less than the D6 to have a wireless Sega Saturn controller for the Dreamcast.

Or, if available, you can buy a wireless Bluetooth receiver for $15 for Dreamcast if you don't want two sets of controllers. 35+15=50... so I guess roughly same price as the D6, but the receiver at least has multiple uses.

I think Retro Fighter website didn't explain it well but D6 wireless controller also comes with their own free receivers for all Retro Fighter controllers!

Here's what we got when we bought it:

And the price ... if we bought from their Amazon page, it actually cost $40 with $15 shipping cost to Indonesia.
While wireless Retro-Bit Saturn controller costs $35 with $30 shipping cost to Indonesia.

Ah, that Indonesia cost does make a bit of a difference. As for me, I'll wait for Retro-Bit's Dreamcast controllers. If I ever need an arcade or six-button controller, my Pro Controller is there for me.
