It's a term attributed to billionaire investor Alex Spanos and popularized in corporate finance to emphasize that free cash flow is the most important indicator of financial health.
Even with Google explaining it to me, I don't know what that is.

Well, don't think too much about it. It's just some words that became meme material, not some deep philosophy like ""I think, therefore I am" or "The unexamined life is not worth living".

As long as it's not like "6 or 7", which I'm sure wouldn't have been meme-level if it were not for South Park.

My younger son always love 67 meme, I don't know why - may be it's popular on his school, but he didn't even know South Park.
South Park may have popularize it but it's already used a lot before in the early 2025 in Tiktok and Instagram (never found them in Facebook and Twitter though).
Said it means nothing, used as a nonsensical, absurd response to almost anything. So if it means nothing I don't get why the kids love to use it.

But it's just... two numbers! Why is it so damn popular?

That demo looks good. I noticed the circle moves steady so maybe video game controller? I imagine the game can be just as enjoyable with mouse and at least two keys for camera controls.

69 and 34 were also popular before that. They are also two numbers ... but at least we know why.

Unfortunately many fans are still not impressed.

Yeah, but and clear and udnerstandable reasons... if you're old enough to understand. But I don't get 6-7 at all.

I feel bad Forever Entertainment are having a hard time. Especially given, as far as I'm aware, they're the only ones who are actually remaking these Sega classics. Sega aren't going to do it, especially if these criticisms would be theirs instead of FE.

THotD and Panzer Dragoon remakes may not be perfect. But if they don't like them, they could always buy a second-hand Sega Saturn and play the originals.

May be we are supposed to never know ... A secret number that only Gen Alpha could dechiper.

Actually I agree with you. Critiques are okay, but the way some worded it were kinda harsh. While the louder fans in social media don't reflect all fans, it could give the impression that Panzer Dragoon fandom is hard to please ... not that different with Sonic fandom though.

I appreciate what FE are doing and, like Lizardcube with SoR4 to Shinobi, I hope they will get recognition from Sega for more major Sega remakes.

But yeah, it's unfair fans calling Panzer Dragoon Zwei dogpoop when it's still a major step-up from the polygonal-hardware limits of the Sega Saturn.
(I mean, I would've gone with a more anime-approach and the riders looks like a postman to me. But I'm not pooping on the game.)

They are being made rotten so that they can evolve to the higher spectrum.

Yeah, anime-approach worked well with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and I think it could be used too in Panzer Dragoon.
Or I think it will be safer if FE made a sequel or a spin-off of Panzer Dragoon rather than remaking the old ones so they wouldn't get compared many times.
But may be SEGA didn't allow them, only allowed for remakes so if that's the case than that option's out of the picture.

Quite alright where I currently am on the spectrum.

Sega will "allow" it, but won't put their names on it.

Also, I remember when Panzer Dragoon was an anime.

It is their franchise. They have to put their name in it so that any potential brand licensing partner who wanted to make merchs or t-shirts knows whose franchise it belong.
