New visual coding program for Genesis/Mega-Drive, MD Engine, coming soon

Quote
MD Engine is a new visual coding program made for easy development of games for Sega Genesis. A visual coding program, much like Game Maker or Clickteam Fusion, allows for the development of video games with an interface that allows for you to build a game with visual assets and menus without having to rely so much on writing code. With this, and a bit of patience and inspiration, you should be able to make your very own new Genesis games without having to write one line of code.
MD Engine was made as a fork of GB Studio, an open source visual coding program for making games for Nintendo’s Game Boy (Color) handheld. It uses much of the same interface and menus, so MD Engine should look familiar to anyone who has worked in GB Studio. However, MD Engine touts some extra special features that are not available even with GB Studio, such as ...

I decided to email Retro-Bit after noticing a small something with the Saturn Pro Controller.

I started off with praise for the product and how I regard it special, but after trying to keybind it with Sega MD&Gen Classics, I noticed a small thing about it.
C and L are "Button 6" and Z and R are "Button 7" while ZL and ZR are their own button-outputs.
I found this a bit odd (and for some reason, worth their attention) because the original Sega Saturn controller's shoulder buttons were their own button-outputs, not only that but the shoulder buttons are marked with ⏮️ and ⏭️ symbols. While the Mega Drive controller does not have shoulder buttons, Sega MD&Gen Classics does have a fast-forward and rewind feature, so it would make sense to assign the shoulder buttons to this feature. But as I tried that, the game told me I've already assigned those button-outputs to C and Z.
However, ZL and ZR (the secondary shoulder buttons) are the ones with their own button-outputs.

I said that perhaps if it was possible, to have a hardware update so that "Start+Up" would flip the shoulder buttons, just as Start+Down flips A/B and X/Y. I dunno if that's "how it works", but it was just a suggestion of a minor gripe.

And given I was writing an email to them over something so pointless, I decided to tell them my thoughts on the upcoming Dreamcast Pro Controller. I didn't straight up tell them I didn't like it in the email, but truth be told, I don't like the idea of a Dreamcast Pro Controller that just had a different D-pad and C and Z buttons. I gave them some suggestions, all the while trying to be polite and respectful. It was pretty much asking for the Dreamcast Pro controller to just be the XBox One controller but styled after the Dreamcast controller. Pretty much take the L, R, right thumb-stick, Home and Select buttons from the Sega Saturn Pro Controller and put it on the Dreamcast Controller.
I just hope I didn't come off as a pompous ass over it.

I see. It might be minor but it's still annoying to us if it affect to the way we play the games we love.
