I believe Dr. Eggman would be forgiving. Metal Sonic recognized her as a fellow badnik and Eggman seems more interested in her as a machine than an enemy especially given this was around when Dr. Starline invaded so it was somewhat of a truce at the time.

Yeah, Metal is his best creation afterall. Every times Metal failed, he just moved on and made some adjustment / upgrade on Metal.
He doesn't even treat Hardboiles the same way he treats Metal.



The question is will he adjust / change Metal or not after he knew.

He as well as all the badniks will probably need a software patch to no longer recognize Belle as Eggtech and that's it.

Though if it were not for mandates, Metal Sonelle ship would of been cute.

Some also regard them like brother and sister than romantic ship. Either way, it's nice to see Metal Sonic look out for her and Belle showing Sonic's most ruthless enemy some kindness.

They could still do that spin-off comic. I mean Belle was introduced awhile after Mr. Tinker became Dr. Eggman and Tinker or anyone in the village made no mention of her. I'd be curious to see stories of Mr. Tinker making Belle and the relationship they had.
