Check out this Sonic The Hedgehog x Godzilla trailer for the upcoming five-issue blockbuster crossover comic book series from IDW Publishing.

It’s a crossover of massive proportions!

The Blue Blur’s battle with Dr. Eggman is upended by the arrival of two enormous monsters emerging from a humongous fissure in reality. The magnificent Mothra and the menacing Mechagodzilla carry their vicious battle into Sonic’s world, and its fate now hangs in the balance! Is Sonic, with the help of his loyal friends Amy and Tails, fast enough to halt the city’s frantic destruction? And why is Eggman so happy about this whole big mess?

The Sonic The Hedgehog x Godzilla comic book series is written by Nick Marino. The artist is Jack Lawrence, and the colorist is Reggie Graham.

The debut issue of the Sonic The Hedgehog x Godzilla comic book series is on sale July 15, 2026, with pre-orders due June 8, 2026 (this date is the last chance to guarantee a copy). You can pre-order at your local comic shop.

Silver the Hedgehog Eyes Green Lantern Guy Gardner for Airlock Toss in New DC Crossover

Quote
In DC x Sonic the Hedgehog: The Metal Legion #1, Silver joins the Green Lantern Corps with John Stewart but wastes no time plotting against hot-headed Guy Gardner. Cyborg suggests chucking him out the airlock, Kilowog questions if he's really a good Lantern, and fans love Silver's fierce, in-character edge from his game roots. This sequel builds on last year's hit where Sonic became The Flash and Silver grabbed his ring.

If I was in Silver's shoes, my conversation with Guy Gardner would go something like this:

Newer Silver might have that kind of sense of humour but I think this comic's more embracing darker side of him.
Both in the game and comic, he's not hesitating to do the job if he's given no option than killing the enemies.

Well, it's good for Silver to more stand-up for himself... not that he did not before.

He and Espio will be a good fit for the length of dirty job they're willing to do for the sake of the greater good.
And yeah, I know there's already story of them both interacting in the comic, but not yet in the game.

Sonic Fans Await Possible Central Show for 35th Anniversary

Quote
Sonic City Net shared a rumor from sources near Sega about a new Sonic Central event in June for the 35th anniversary on June 23, promising announcements and collaborations after a year of trailers, websites, and fan events kicked off in January.
Past shows like the 2021 debut brought hits such as Sonic Frontiers, while later ones focused on merch, LEGO sets, and DC Comics crossovers.
Fans mix excitement for potential new games with skepticism over short runtimes filled with toys, as official Sega channels stay silent for now.
