At least that's how I feel on the matter. I admits it's a bit of an exaggeration but it feels like "Check your privileges" is a SJW phrase to put down the white man.
And I get it, as a white man I do have some social privileges while certain me of colour are labeled with stereotypes or their people have been through a lot of suffering and human injustice to get here because of white dominance. It's fair to remind someone when they get too big for their britches but if you're using the word "privilege" specifically to make a person feel bad for being white then is it just as bad as calling a black man the N-word to make them feel bad for being black? They were born black and embrace that as part of their identity just as I was born white. I can't just feel bad for being white and ask for a do-over.That's the thing, to me political corrective priorities and woke culture seems to be a degree turning the issues on their head than removing them entirely. I've notice this in particular with Doctor Who where to me the impression is if you are a white cisgendered straight male then you'll have a more difficult time in the BBCs "diversity".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RKj7Ef25N0

Maybe somewhere along my ancestry, perhaps I have an ancestor who owned black slaves for all I know. That doesn't mean such racism runs in the family. Just because racism from white people was more severe in the past doesn't mean the decendants have to pay for their ancestors bigotry.Political Correctness should teach us how to be better people to other people and not make certain people the problem because their ancestors were the problem. You know what I mean?

What I'm saying is, instead of "revenge" or shifting bigotry from one group of people to another in regards they're "privileged" enough, how about we just don't hate anyone and treat everyone fairly?

Yes, I get what you mean. Jealousy doesn't give us a right to do bad things, let alone racism in any kind of form, to the person or group we are jealous with.

Hatred is just a natural, human and to a degree a healthy thing. But Racism is a method of hatred so it will always be around to a degree. Heck, in South Africa there are slums specifically for white people. It is there that these white people are subjected to hate and racism from African. some holding black history against them, others just straight-up racist. These white people in South Africa are not at all privileged... but "political correctness" and "woke culture" doesn't want white people to be pitted, they're "privileged".

It's why I believe that while inclusive diversity should be encourage and I do respect it being in entertainment and media, I still think political correctness should tackle smaller issues first before trying to make us all "woke" with new vocabulary, more sexuality and gender-ID than there are pokémon and how we should all "think" or be canceled and shamed on the internet.

Hatred is easier to spread than peace.
Targetting people / group to hate (especially with cancel culture) sells more than asking for a peace.
Sometimes even governments did that.
I guess like it or not, racism being a method of hatred would always find a way in any form.

For example, "whitewashing". It doesn't necessarily means the skin itself but back then it was a form of visual censorship and propaganda. These days when it comes to fictional characters of colour to "whitewash" them means to redesign them from their original coloured skin to be Caucasian. This is regarded as bad and racist.
But because caucasian characters are regarded white as a default thing, apparently "blackwashing" or "colourwashing" a Caucasian seems to get a pass at being OK.
I'm not saying colourwashing is a bad thing. Nick Fury from Marvel comics was originally a white guy in the comics. But Samuel L. Jackson is just perfect for the role.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxVVaTXr4FM
I identify Nick Fury more as a badass black guy than his original character because L. Jackson made it his role. Not only that but colourwashing also offers acting opportunities to actors who are likely deserving of the roles, just as Samuel L. Jackson!

But then you have this...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHdtsWn7sgE
Developed by Charlie Grandy, it feels more like a parody/message on political correctness than whenever he decided colouring the gang would be more fitting for their characters or not. Because of that long time Scooby fans are somewhat upset over Velma being black, in which the irony of this trailer has Velma complaining about her favourate fictional character going through the same thing and being as butt-hurt about it as well. I can't tell if this is a jab at the fans or a jab against woke culture, but given such repose is bound to happen means people will watch it because of colourwashed Scooby characters.

So you see, if political correctness can't decide if blackwashing should be as bad as whiteashing characters, a "double-standards", should it really be regarded important for media to teach our generations it's ideals?

I can't really decide what I thought about Velma since the series haven't aired yet.
Same with the new live action of The Little Mermaid.

The movie hasn't even aired so I don't get why there are so much racist attacks on Halle Bailey after Little Mermaid trailer.
I hate most of Disney live action movies based on their cartoon but I won't be as far as attacking the actors and actresses for it.
If I hate it I could always skip it and move on. It's not such a big deal.

Former Sega digital brand manager Ken Balough confirmed to SEGAbits that Big the Cat was officially "retired" in 2012.
He would then go on to have various appearances in spinoffs until appearing in a major game again being Team Sonic Racing in 2019.

SEGA Talk #106: Wacky Races (2000)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg2yVdBbWv0

Quote
…And now here they are! The most powerful duo of daffy podcasters to ever whirl their wheels in the Wacky Races!
Competing for the title of world’s wackiest racer! The cars are approaching the starting line.
First, is the Giga Mega Drive Turbo driven by Gorgeous George. Next is Barry the Nomad in the AV RCA Hookup Pickup Truck.
And they’re off… to a standing start. And why not, they’ve been chained to a post, by Dick Dastardly, who shifts into the wrong gear. And away they go… on the way-out Wacky Races!

Yeah. But with how the BBC portraits "diversity", even firing members of staff in order to make room for women and coloured people, it seems you can't have diversity without jealousy. At least that's what the BBC wants in order to push their shit.

That does bring up another matter... BBC and other corporations are only giving a damn about diversity for moneys sake. Merely a few years a go, lesbians in kids cartoons would of been scandalous. Now it's like every cartoon needs to have a token gay or other-gendered character. All of a sudden corporations care about Pride Month. It's because once they abandoned the taboos of this potential audience they could market from them. Could it be called progressive if it's fueled by greed? I dunno.

I feel the same. I don't hate the live-action adaptations because of change or characters of skin colour, I just hate these live-actions adaptations in general. I wish they kept animating them like Princess and the Frog.

Yeah, that feels like overacting. I feel it's more like of marketing purpose than a good will.

Well.. those cartoon and kids movies with LGBT content...
they're still being banned in my country if the moviemaker refused to cut out the scene.
Adult movies with LGBT content like The Eternals & Thor: Love and Thunder still got to keep the LGBT scene thought.
Different country, different treatment.
For example :

The scene was initially cut out in the edit by Disney, however, it was reinstated by Disney and Pixar after an uproar from LGBTQ employees and supporters.
Even Disney is afraid to their own employees and they rather lose money in some countries.

And what's with Jasmine became Sultan anyway in live action version..
It felt forced 'cause I don't remember the cartoon version is having story like that.

I forgot this game exist.

It certainly wasn't memorable enough.
Even the cartoon is more interesting.

I'm not overacting, it made the news. BBC really did fire staff left and right because they wanted less white men.

Well, it is good that Disney did it because their own staff demanded it. I figure Disney just work their employers until they break and then hire new ones.

Likely they figured something new still needed to be added in in order to make it appealing to audience who already seen the old cartoons.
How about just making a new 2D animated movie Disney? If they hadn't fired half their staff after Princess and the Frog they probably could.
It certainly wasn't memorable enough.
Even the cartoon is more interesting.

These cartoon skitz are great!

Controversy also sell, making them popular again.
While I agree negative attention is still attention, do they really want that kind of attention?
Company always ready to move to the new next thing... Well, SEGA included.
I don't mind if Sega makes their games, especially Sonic games, a bit PC as long as it's not for woke reasons. For example I can see Charmy Bee passing off as trans.
That new things turned me off but I guess they succeed since the movies are gaining lot of profits.
The live-action remakes seem to get negative attention though... which is still attention I guess.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
The BBC may be the biggest news site in the world but it couldn't match the speed of social media like Facebook and Twitter.

I don't mind if Sega makes their games, especially Sonic games, a bit PC as long as it's not for woke reasons. For example I can see Charmy Bee passing off as trans.

I don't think Sonic will go there soon but other franchises might.
New character that was added to Catherine Full Body, Rin, I think is the most famous one :

The live-action remakes seem to get negative attention though... which is still attention I guess.

Sometimes bad attention is better than no attention at all.
